Dear Boo,

There is this girl, Mya*, I considered her a good friend. But, I found out she was actually toxic and just wanted to use me.

I was once in her group but felt that my books were being scrutinized and judged because it was an urban story. Some of her members told me to change things in my book and take out certain parts which in a way hurt my feelings because my book was based on my lifestyle and background. I live in the heart of the ghetto and the language in my book is what I grew up in.

So I began to distance myself from her group and found an urban group that was more my speed and did not judge my book.

So she must have seen one of my posts when I asked all members in the new club that I was in to please come online for book club discussion for the book of the week.

Then she reached out asking can I join her new club for admins creators and such. I flat out told her no thank you, but the creator of the club wanted to invite to join our club so she could get to know the urban side of the club.

I really did not want to invite her, but the creator of the club wanted her to join. I sent her the link early that morning and she did not join right away.

Later that day one of our members had an issue with her book someone was downloading her book talking about the use of the word "ain't", saying it is not a word and it should not be used because it makes us look stupid.

So, of course, the members from the club did not like what she said and came to her defense.

Then the girl took it to Instagram and we went and commented on it as well. Once she realized her mistake she deleted the account, but I have the screenshots of that too, although she is not the issue.

I will send you that screenshot later.

But back to the issue at hand, after we cleared up that issue everyone was still upset and immediately after the incident, Mya* decided to join.

I kept kicking her out because I felt like she had something to do with it. As you can see in the screenshots I apologized to her and told her that I was the one who kept kicking her out because we recently had an issue and I did not want her to come in during the issue.

I only apologized because the owner wanted her to come to the club, although I was on the fence about her coming into the club because I felt like she had something to do with the prior incident.

But she rejoined, even after I told her we read each other stories and support each other books. Some are R rated and some are not. She said it doesn't pertain to her because she doesn't read those kinds of stories...

"Why join the club if you are not going to read the book of the week or urban books."

I literally told her it is an urban environment

She then brings up the incident about her being kicked out the first time she tried to join, which got me mad because we already went through that and I apologized after telling her it was me.

Then she tried to say we were unorganized and need help and she wanted to save our group then gave the invite link to her friends, then went on to talk about her book club inside our book club

I mind you she runs her own group and her rule was no talking about other groups inside her group, then said nobody is to be invited without her permission, etc.

Common courtesy, why do things in someone else group that you know you will not allow happen in your group?!

It was a mess... After, I finally went off asking, why would you break your own rules of your group inside someone else's group? We went back and forth, her saying she did not know she couldn't do that then I showed the screenshot msgs amongst me and her. I mind you I learned that from her because she was always sharing someone messages with me inside her group. She always asked me to help her find new members which I did, I used to always promote her club on my wall before I joined the new book club.
