"You don't like the food?"

Napatingin ako sa nagtanong saakin. I'm spacing out again.

"Yes? I-i mean no. I-i-m sorry." Hiya kong sabi.

I thought that I won't attend some parties or entertained some people because of Dad being away from me but I'm wrong. Hindi nanaman ako nakapasok ngayong araw para sa isang lunch date sa isang kasosyong pamilya ni Daddy.

Here I am eating in one fancy restaurant in the city with a fine man. I met lots of people and eat with some men or older men but the guy in front of me is one of the person I can say that looks okay or fine to be with.

Ngumiti si Tyler saakin at inangat ang kamay papunta saaking muka kaya bahagyang napaiwas ako.

"You have something in your cheeks."sabi nito at may tinanggal saaking pisnge.

Alanganin naman akong ngimiti rito at nagiwas ng tingin."Ahh, thank you."

Lumawak ang ngiti nito at lumabas ang dimple sa mga pisnge. He doesn't look awkward like the other men because of me being silent the whole time. Tatango at iiling sa mga tanong nito at sinasabi. He's cool of me being cold with him.

"Honestly, I've been waiting to be with you." nakangiti nitong sabi at tingin ko'y biglang nahiya rin sa sinabi.

Tinanguan ko lamang ito at kinuha ang baso ng tubig para uminom. Palihim kong tinignan ang relos at nakitang magaalasdos na ng hapon, magiisang oras ko na rin siyang kasama. Sheryl said we have some people need to meet with. How I wish I can end this meetings so I can finally go home and stay on my bed, talking to people really drains me.

"Ang hirap pala talaga magkaroon ng appointment to Mr. Leveque's daughter. I think were many.." pilit akong nagbigay ng ngiti rito dahil sa sinabi niya saliwa sa tunay na nararamdaman.

Do you think I like to meet all of you? For peter's sake I should be at school stressing myself out on my studies, laughing with my friends and having cold war with Shiela instead of entertaining all of Dad's client!

"I'm just really curious. Do you have an idea how much.." hindi nito maituloy ang itutuloy dahil mukang nahiya at napakamot ng kilay kaya pinagtaasan ko lamang ito ng kilay.

"What?" inip kong tanong pero tinakpan ko ito ng walang buhay na boses.

"How much your cost? Sorry if I'm so nosy to ask you this personaly. I realy like you the first time I saw you with your dad in the.."

Hindi na naabsorb ng isip ko ang mga kasunod nitong nasabi dahil na hulog ako sa katanungan nito. How much my cost? Tangina? Magkaano ako? I conclude that Daddy wants me to meet them for us to see who I can marry! Na gagawin akong tulay para mapalaki ng kung ano mang business niya! So totoo pala that I'll be auction!

"You're asking me how much? Are you serious?" hindi ko na mapigilang tanong.

Tumawa ito ng bahagya."Sorry. I know it's prohibited to ask especially to you. We should just attend the party and wait for their announcement. I might look like a greedy or obsess boy in that part."saka nailing habang may mga ngiti pa rin sa labi.

Nakakuyom na ang dalawang kamay ko na nasa ibabaw ng mga hita. "Announcement? What do you mean?"

"Announcement about the bidding. How much the price start. Oh! I assume you don't know too how much your price, aren't you?"

Tumawa ako rito saka umiling at inabot ang tubig at uminom. Dinamihan ko ang inom na nagbabakasaling kaya ibsan ang panginginig ko sa galit. Anong kalokohan 'to, Daddy!

"My bad for asking you that. I'll just wait for the night. I just want to tell that I'm willing to spend all my money just to have that gem that everyone wishing to have." saka tumitig saakin ng makahulugan bago ngumiti.
