It was a little after midnight and the storm was starting to rage outside. Selena was sleeping peacefully next to you but you couldn't sleep at all. You're too scared, your overwhelming fear of storms were getting the best of you.
You saw the lightening strike outside the window followed by a loud crash of thunder and you curled up to Selena, tucking your face in her hoodie. The rain was pouring down and you're only getting more and more frightened as time passes.
You felt Selena wrap her arm around your back, her fingertips sliding underneath your shirt as she started to rub it softly. Another crash of thunder was heard and you jumped a little, a small whine leaving your lips. "Shhh y/n, it's okay. I'm here, you're safe."
Selena kept whispering softly in your ear as the storm got louder and scarier. "I hate storms" You mumbled against Selena's sweater. She kept rubbing your back and comforting you. "I know you do but I promise I won't let anything hurt you. You're safe."
You didn't fall asleep for a couple more hours until the storm started to die down a little. Selena stayed awake with you the whole time. She rubbed your back and kept reassuring you that she'd keep you safe. You ended up falling asleep wrapped up in her embrace and she never pulled away from you the whole night.
