Selena looked at the time once more, grinning excitedly when she realized you should be getting out of your last class for the day right about now.

She decided to pick you up from your university today. She's never done this before, mostly because she didn't wanna cause a scene, but she knows you walked today and it allowed her the perfect opportunity to come and surprise you.

A few more minutes went by before she heard the commotion of people exiting the school. She got out of the car and walked towards you, but before she could get to you one of your classmates was by your side, swooping you in for a conversation.

"Hey, y/n!" He grinned, hand falling to the small of your back. "So, uh, y-you look amazing today." He looked you in your eyes and didn't break contact till you turned away. He was smiling so widely you thought it might hurt; flashing his perfectly white teeth as he began to look you up and down. "Are you busy? Do you wanna hang out? Maybe grab some coffee or-"

He was interrupted by Selena walking up behind you and pushing his hand off of you. She wrapped you in her arms, tightly holding onto your waist. She glared at him even as she nudged her nose against your neck and started to leave soft kisses across your shoulder blade. "Sorry, buddy. She's already spoken for."

Your classmate shifted on his feet and awkwardly cleared his throat before waving goodbye and walking away. You turned around and narrowed your eyes at your girlfriend who was obviously feeling victorious, judging by the look in her eyes alone. "I could've handled that myself."

You folded your arms over your chest but Selena was quick to unfold them. "I know you could've. I just didn't like the way he was looking at you. He was looking you up and down like a perv."

You rolled your eyes but still put your arms around her neck. "C'mere," you whispered as you leaned in for a kiss only to pull away when you heard the sound of a few screams and gaps around you. You both saw some of your classmates surrounding the two of you, but they really only had their eyes on your girlfriend.

"Selena! Can we take a picture with you?" Selena smiled at them but politely declined. "I'm really sorry, maybe next time. Right now I plan on taking my beautiful girlfriend out to dinner." She threw her arm around you and told them all to have a good day before leading you to the car with a proud grin.
