After a long day at the studio, Selena was happy to come home and lay on the couch for a little while, although she was already excited for you and Rosie to come rushing through the door at any moment.

You texted her that you were gonna go bike riding together through the park nearby so she wouldn't worry if she got home before you to find the house empty.

Selena wasn't worried at all. That was, until, she heard the door open and the sound of Rosie crying. Selena jumped up and ran to the door to find you both bleeding. You had clearly hit your head and scraped your hand somehow and Rosie's knee was seriously scraped while her elbow had a small cut on it.

"What happened? Are you okay?" She bent down and wiped away Rosie's tears before looking up at you to find you biting your lip to fight back your own. "I'll be fine, just worry about Rosie first."

Selena sighed and put her hand on your cheek, wiping the blood from your face. It wasn't much, it could definitely be a lot worse, but she was still incredibly worried. "Okay, come on. Both of you upstairs so I can fix you both up."

You wanted to argue and tell her to worry about Rosie and you could take care of yourself, but the look of worry in her eyes broke your heart, so you just nodded and let her take your hand to lead you and Rosie upstairs.

Selena had you sit on the closed toilet seat while she picked Rosie up and sat her on the counter. She looked between you both and when you nodded towards Rosie she just smiled at the small girl who was rubbing her eyes as tears fell down her cheeks.

"Hey, my sweet girl. I'm gonna make your knee all better, okay?" Rosie nodded and watched her mom grab the first aid kit from one of the cupboards. She knelt in front of Rosie and pulled out the antibacterial medicine and gently rubbed it over the wound on her leg causing Rosie to let out a little whimper from the sting.

Selena reached her hand up and smiled at Rosie when the little girl took her hand in her smaller one. Selena also cleaned her elbow, muttering out little encouragements to Rosie as she helped clean her up.

But you watched fighting back your tears. It was never easy watching your daughter hurt, but knowing it was your fault made it even worse. You haven't explained the situation to Selena yet, but you know she's gonna ask you what's wrong and saying the words out loud isn't gonna be easy.

Selena placed the bandaids on Rosie's knee and elbow before she poked her nose playfully making the little girl giggle, her tears now replaced with smiles and laughter.

Selena looked over at you before carefully picking Rosie up from the counter and putting her on her feet. "Why don't you go climb in our bed and we'll be there in a minute. We can watch a movie, whatever one you want." Rosie's smile grew wider as she ran out of the bathroom and into yours' and Selena's room.

"What happened?" Selena asked as she ran her fingers through your hair, looking for where you had hit your head. She winced when she saw the source of all the blood. She knew you had to be hurting pretty badly. She tied your hair back and wet down a washcloth before pressing it on the cut.

"There was a crack in the sidewalk and I didn't see it. Rosie was ahead of me so I could keep an eye on her. She fell off her bike and before I could get off of mine to help her I also ran over the crack and I fell. I hit my head but all I could worry about was her. It's my fault,"

Selena shook her head as her eyes went wide. "No, no. It was just an accident, it happens. Yeah, she was a little hurt, but she'll be just fine and she's already moved on from this. It's not your fault. Let's just get you cleaned up and go spend time with our little girl, okay?" She kissed your chin and wiped the tear from your eye.

She bit her lip as she concentrated on making sure your head wasn't bleeding any more. She then cleaned up your hand, letting you squeeze her knee as she wiped away the blood. She put a couple of bandages on it before bringing it to her lips and placing a soft kiss over it.

"All that matters is that you're both okay now." She smiled softly at you and placed a little kiss to your lips.

"Okay. Cuddle time," she grinned and you both left the bathroom to go in your bedroom where Rosie was. She laid on your bed as her favorite movie played on the tv.

You both laid next to her, sandwiching her between you both before you attacked her face with kisses. The sound of her laugh and the feeling of her fingers reaching for your hand made you grin from ear to ear. "I love you so much, my baby." You kissed her head and Selena did the same.

Rosie held one of your hands and one of Selena's, her brown eyes growing heavier and heavier until she caved in and let them close, but refused to let go of you both.

"See? She's just fine." Selena whispered, looking at you with a reassuring smile. She reached her other hand out to grab your bandaged one and intertwined your fingers together before telling you that she loves you as you both fell asleep with your little girl comfortably between you.
