   Y/N'S POV

It's not every day that you realize that your boyfriend's The Superman. Let's just say I should have figured it out a long time ago, but I always brushed the thought aside.
I didn't blame Clark for not telling me, because I tended to be really dramatic. I understood why he never told me, yet I was curious to his reasoning behind it. That I really wanted to find out.

Lois walked over to my desk and sat down on my desk saying,"I know that look. What did you figure out today, Y/N?"

I looked at her and narrowed my eyes at her, asking,"Do you know who Superman is?"

  Lois replied,"If I did know, I wouldn't tell you."

I chuckled and smiled at her saying,"Oh, wow, such a good best friend. I take it that you do know, but I won't pressure you for an answer. Shouldn't you be working?"

Lois replied,"This is a part of me working. I have to check on you, Y/N, but I should get back to my assignment."

I nodded and gave her a quick hug, before I walked over to Clark's desk.

He looked up at me and said,"Hey, darling. What is it?"

I took his hand and led him to one of the less busy areas.

I held his shoulders saying,"I just wanted to say "thank you" for the other day."

"Thank you for what? For dinner?"

I sent him a look and replied,"Clark, I know. I know you're Superman. Don't even think about trying to convince me otherwise. There's nothing you can say to make me drop this."

Clark's eyes widened, but then his eyes softened.

He stuffed his hands in his pockets and sighed saying,"You're right. I'm sorry I never told you. I know you don't take secrets very well. I know I broke your trust in me."

Clark immediately broke off into a tangent, and I didn't know whether to stop him or not. Seeing him like this felt nice, and I didn't even know why I thought that. Maybe it was because he seemed so interested in my feelings.

This was new for me. Unfortunately, so new to me that I wanted Clark to stop talking.

I covered Clark's mouth and said,"Clark, it's okay. I get it. You felt like you were doing the right thing. I know I don't take things well, but I can start with your identity."

Clark smiled and I continued to hold his shoulders as he said,"You know, if you need to take a break, I completely understand. I just want you to know I truly did what I thought was best for both of us, but I should have just come to you."

I closed Clark's mouth again and laughed saying,"Kent, stop talking. I already told you it's okay. We're okay. I don't want a break, and I understand you making the decision that you made."

Clark wiped the sweat from his forehead, that I didn't even realize was there until now. Then, I turned around to see what time it was. It wasn't too long until four o'clock, so I still had time to finish my articles.

I gathered my thoughts and said,"Okay, Clark, I'm going to head...back."

When I turned around to look at Clark, he was down on one knee.

Before he could even say anything, I jumped on him and yelled,"YES! YES! GIVE ME MY RING, KENT!"

Clark laughed and delicately slid the ring on to my finger, before he said,"You didn't even let me give you my whole speech."

I blushed in embarrassment and replied,"Sorry. I just got a little excited, Superman. Sorry."

Clark smiled and lifted me up saying,"How about I give my speech to you another time and you act surprised?"

  "Deal."
