Y/N'S POV
Graciously making my way through the rooftops of Gotham, I stopped upon hearing some thugs talking about an arms deal.
I listened in, and one said,"Did you hear about the new shipment Penguin brought in?"
The poorly dressed one, well they were all pretty disturbing, but he said,"Yeah, the boss wants us to meet there in about 30 minutes. I can't wait to get my share!!"
I smirked and thought,"Hopefully, Bruce won't mind if I take out the trash real quick."
I quickly jumped down and took out the guys, but I left one of them for my interrogation. He was dragging himself across the ground, before I turned him over and pushed him against the car door.
He groaned in pain and yelled,"I AM NOT TELLING YOU ANYTHING?!!"
I shrugged and noticed his fresh bullet wound I left on his shoulder. I smirked and put my foot on his shoulder, before I slowly applied pressure to his wound.
The henchman screamed in pain, before he yelled,"ALL RIGHT, ALL RIGHT!! WHAT DO YOU WANT TO KNOW?!!"
I bent down over him and sternly said,"The Arkham Knight. Tell me where he is."
The henchman groaned in pain but laughed saying,"Why would I tell you where he is? What is in it for me?"
I looked to the side and said,"I am guessing you have a family, right? You have to be new to this whole crime thing, because you are acting out of fear, instead of violence and vengeance, like most criminals do. I will tell you what: You give me the information I want, and I will give you a pass to save you the trouble of running into Batman. He is not really in a good mood right now, so luckily, I ran into you. Deal?"
I could not believe I was doing this right now, but I was a believer in second chances. Bruce gave me one. The henchman looked at me in confusion for a second, almost scared of my next move.
When I sent him a reassuring smile, the henchman immediately shook my hand. I helped him up and tended to his wound. Next, I tightly wrapped his leg.
I stood up, and the henchman said,"I heard him talking about getting his revenge on Batman earlier. He said something about going underground, somewhere in the tunnels, maybe?"
I shook his hand and sent him a genuine smile saying,"Thanks, I really appreciate this. Do not worry, I will keep my word. Stay out of sight, until I get back all right? You are going home to your family; I will make sure of it."
The henchman actually sent me a smile back, and even said "thank you," which really amazed me.
I just smiled to myself, before my comms went off.
I answered saying,"Yes, boss?"
Batman came through the other end saying,"Y/N, I have got a lead on Gordon. I just sent my location to you. Meet me there."
I went to say something, but Batman hung up. I sighed and pouted, because he never let me finish the conversation. I jumped down off the rooftop, before I made my way to Batman's location.
Once I got there, I followed him through some of Gotham's oldest tunnels underground.
I whispered,"Where are we going? Bruce, what are you doing?"
Batman sighed, and I held in a giggle. I loved messing with him; it was my life-long goal. I just made my way behind him, before he stopped crawling.
I did too, before I heard Gordon's voice and a few of the Arkham Knight's henchmen interrogating him.
They were not really doing a good job, because Gordon seemed bored. Batman and I took that chance to catch the men off-guard.
Gordon said,"See, I told you he would come."
I held up my hands, and Gordon chuckled saying,"Y/N, too."
I smiled and Batman quickly grabbed me, which ended up saving my life. I sent him a silent thank you, before I leaned back and dodged the knife being aimed at my face. I quickly grabbed the man's arm and twisted it, before I dug the knife in his side.
He screamed in pain, and I gladly knocked him out. After we got done, Batman made his way over to Gordon and tried to set him free.
We heard a voice say,"Turn around."
We both turned to see the Arkham Knight.
Bruce calmly said,"Who are you?"
The Arkham Knight said,"You really have no idea, do you Bruce?"
It was none other than Jason Todd, my boyfriend and best friend for years. Tears immediately formed in my eyes, and I could see the pain in Jason's eyes. For those of you who are confused, you know what I meant.
Bruce said in shock,"Jason? But... you're dead."
Jason walked around Bruce and I, and Jason tightened his grip around his gun.
He was about to say something, but I quickly and sternly said,"Don't say a word, Jason. Don't."
Jason seemed shocked that I had said something, but I was in no mood for this game anymore. I made my way over to him and pulled him closer, before I took a chance and kissed him.
Jason seemed confused at first, and I squeezed his hand saying,"Do not treat me like I am other people, Jay. I...I need this. You have been gone for too long."
Jason finally kissed back, and I smiled in the kiss. I pulled him ever closer, while tears poured down my face.
I had a mixture of emotions right now, but all I needed was some type of love from my long-lost best friend and love of my life.
Hopefully, I could have Jason back in my life. Hopefully. If not, I would have to be the one to help Bruce take him down. I didn't know if I could do that. At first, I didn't know The Arkham Knight was Jason. Now, I knew, and I only hoped that what Jason had going on would end soon.
