"Remind me exactly, why am I doing this?"
"Because I asked you."
"That doesn't answer my question."
"Yes, it does. I told you why."
"Well, give me another reason."
"Because you love me."
"Ugh. Well, I'm not talking to Toothless or Delta."
"Oh, come on, Hiccup! There's no need for that! You should just forgive them already."
"No."
"You know what... Fine. But, only if you practice shifting."
"Do I have to?"
"Yes. It comes in handy quite often. I mean with the number of times you get caught..."
I rolled my eyes.
"So why are going to this place?" Freya asked.
"It's our home. And where his entire family is."
Then suddenly Stormfly flipped over and caught Astrid in her claws.
"You two fight too much. Talk."
She dropped Astrid on my back and Astrid started to cradle Osmund, who'd woken up after Stormfly threw Astrid off.
"She's right you know," I told her.
"Ya, she is. It might just be that we haven't seen each other in forever and haven't exactly gotten off on the right foot since."
"Probably."
I missed you these past eight months. She said.

I am really sorry I hurt you.

I told him I'd be there for him when we found out dad died. I left though, leaving him alone.
He's not alone. And he understands, Hiccup. Truly, he does. You were gone for five years and forgot everything. You've been slowly regaining what you lost and then you get pushed away by one of the only people you remember. He knows you're going through more than he is.
