Hiccup's POV

I stared at the list of possibilities with Fishlegs and Heather by my side.

"So... any new ideas?" I asked hopefully.

"No. I really don't know, Hiccup. I really don't. A-and we're-" Fishlegs replied before turning away and sitting down.

"Don't say it. We can't be out of time. We're not out of time until he.. and we aren't... not yet... we're not giving up..."

"We have nothing to go off of and I don't think there is a cure, Hiccup. We don't even know what the heck this plant even looks like. How can we figure out a cure when we can't study it?" Heather said.

"I know. I- I know. I just- It's so unfair. I died from this. I don't want my nephew to die. And he's in so much pain. I just don't understand how we don't know anything about this God's forsaken plant!" I shouted as I wiped my hand across the desk, throwing everything all over.

"Woah! What happened here?" Ruffnut asked as she entered the room.

"Cool! Is Hiccup joining our side? Please Loki! Let it be so!" Tuffnut shouted to the sky.

"Really?" Ruffnut asked.

"Yeah! Think about it! He threw stuff across the room! He went to our study island to relax. And he flew he first into a cliff!" Tuffnut explained. Heather and I facepalmed.

"Yes! Please Loki? Please? Let him join us!" Ruffnut joined her brother in praying to Loki, who I must admit isn't so bad.

"We don't have time for this, guys," Heather shouted over them.

"Loki isn't too bad. Kinda reminds me of both of you," I said with a shrug and Fishlegs facepalmed.

"I keep forgetting that you met the Gods, but did you seriously forget what we were doing?" he asked me.

"No. I was just saying that he isn't too bad. A little arrogant, but he is a God," I replied with another shrug.

"Moooovinnnnng onnnnn..." Fishlegs said. "We should probably pick, the stuff you threw across the room, up."

I looked around and saw that there was, indeed, stuff strewn across the entire room.

"Right. On it," I said with a slight blush.

"What are you guys even doing here?" Heather asked Ruff and Tuff.

"Wellll... We were bored and wanted to see if you guys wanted to explore and wanted to see if Hiccup wanted to come..." Ruff explained.

"I'm a little busy," came my muffled reply as I picked up a paper that had gotten tossed under the table.

"With what? This doesn't seem that important... I mean can't you pick up all these papers later? Why do you have to do it now? And if you do have to do this now, we can wait..." Tuff said and sat down.

"We're trying to figure out how to save my nephew and-" Ruffnut cut me off.

"First, which one. And can we help? Rescuing people is sooooo much more fun than exploring," Ruffnut said with an excited grin.

"Night. We're trying to save Night. And we're not trying to rescue him. He's sick and dying so we're trying to cure him." I placed the papers down on the desk as well as all of the pencils and paperweights. I turned and saw that her face had turned deadly serious.

"He's been poisoned. With what?" she then started listing a bunch of things that were poisonous to humans. When she noticed we were gaping at her she asked, "what?"
