Hiccup's POV
I can't believe that they threatened Amber like that! How could they! Can't they see she's only two?
"Good going, Dream! I'm so glad I could come along and get yelled at!"
"Well, sor-ry! Like I would know this was going to happen!"
I stared at the two as they bickered. Then took the time to check on Amber.
"Are you okay?" I asked and started sniffing her to make sure she wasn't hiding anything.
"Well, physically, yes. Mentally, I'm hurt. I mean what kind of monster do they think I am? I eat fish, not dragons." She said and humphed.
I turned my attention back to the two hatchlings. "You have got to be kidding me!!! I left for a reason!!!"
"Well, there! I told you it was worth it! We found him!" Dreamchaser stuck her tongue out at Vera.
"Why, by all the gods, are you here?"
"Well... we were looking for you," Vera stated.
"I didn't want to be found. And why, Dreamchaser, were you insulting my friend?"
"I hate Death Songs." I rolled my eyes at her statement.
"First off, Amber isn't a Death Song, she's a Night Song. Second, why?"
"Death Song, Night Song, same thing. And when I was younger one tried to kill me. Would've killed me, Stardust and Shadowfrost if Ma hadn't shown up. They're ruthless." Dreamchaser held my gaze as she spoke while Amber flinched.
"You are a mean dragon who judges other dragons based on their species and not their personality. Who are you to say that I'm ruthless? Cause I am half Night Fury as well!"
"Okay, enough of this. You two are going to stay here until you work out your differences."
"What!?" They both shouted in indignation.
"Nope, not changing my mind. Come on, Vera. I'll show you around."
Dreamchaser's POV
I can't believe him! Leaving me with a ruthless killer while Vera gets to look around!
"Dreamchaser..."
"What!" I snapped at her and she flinched. Okay so maybe I'm being rough on her, but it's understandable! I nearly died from a Death Song. Then again she is half Night Fury and only two.
"I was going to ask if we could start over. Forget the whole thing. Not judge each other because of what the other's species has done."
Is she serious! Forget about how a Death Song nearly killed me! But that wasn't her. They probably weren't even related. Maybe.
Instead of answering I humphed and turned my back to her. I heard her sigh. But when I turned around she was gone. Immediately I felt panicked and some instinct to find her and make sure she was okay turned on. The same instinct that made me so protective of Vera.
"Amber? Amber! Amber, where are you? Amber, this isn't funny! Just come out already!"
I started walking through the trees and started hearing a sniffling sound.
