Cairus' Home

Nagtaas ako ng kilay. Gusto kong magulat sa sinabi niya pero mas nag-uumaapaw ang biglang pagtataray ko. Why would he wanted to see me everyday?

"Bakit kita kailangang kitain araw-araw?" tanong ko.

He shrugged and went back to what he's doing like he didn't ask me something astonishing. I crossed my arms in my chest and stepped closer.

"Paano pala kung hindi ako araw-araw magkaassignment? Kikitain pa rin kita?"

"Kung ayaw mo, madali naman akong kausap," he said coldly.

Umawang ang bibig ko. I couldn't believe him right now.

"Fine! If I'll see you everyday, you'll do all of my assignments? As in lahat?"

"Kung anong ibibigay mo,"

Wow! He's easy to deal! Very unexpected!

"Ano namang gagawin natin araw-araw?"

He shrugged again without looking at me. "Let's see."

Kumunot ang noo ko pero nagkibit balikat na rin. It's not bad at all. He's offering just a simple exchange and it's not really hassle, I guess, if he's not demanding for time.

Umalis na rin ako sa library para pumasok sa second subject. May assignment ako sa hapon at hindi naman mahirap iyon dahil mukhang kaya ko naman kaya hindi na ako nagpunta sa library.

On my way outside the school, nakasalubong ko ang kotse ni Roderick sa daan. He immediately parked his car when he saw me. Patakbo siyang lumapit sa akin at malapad na ngumiti nang makalapit sa akin.

"Shaireen!" He immediately hugged my waist and pulled me for a tight embrace.

Niyakap ko rin siya pabalik at tinapik ang kanyang balikat. Kumalas siya at ningitian ulit ako.

"I'm on my way to your room. Susundin na sana kita. May binili lang ako sa labas ng school. Are you going home?"

"Oo sana,"

"Can we eat outside? I already find a place for us. Text your driver to fetch you later." determinadong sabi niya. "Please, Shaireen?"

Napatingin ako sa kanya. He has this wide smile to me like he's really expecting me to say yes. I don't want to disappoint him for some reason kaya ngumiti ako at tumango na rin.

"Okay,"

"Yes!" He jumped a bit and kissed my cheek. "Thank you, Shaireen!"

Dinala ako ni Roderick sa isang restaurant. He looks happy when he saw how my eyes appreciate the food he prepare. Halatang pinaghandaan niya 'to ng sobra. I can't help but to laugh at his effort.

Sabay kaming kumain at nagkukuwentuhan ng iba't ibang bagay. Roderick is very easy to talk with. Kaya nga madali ko siyang nadali. Well, hindi naman talaga ako nahihirapan sa mga lalaki. Most of the time, they're the one that's hitting on me kaya kaunting sweetness ko lang, kumakagat agad. And Roderick is not an exception to that. Though, he's my crush so it's okay.

After eating, we were so full. Malapad akong ngumiti sa kanya at nagpasalamat.

"Thank you for this. I enjoyed the food too much," I said.

He smiled too while watching me closely. He has a very satisfying smile on his lips.

"Actually I have something to tell you, Shai."

"Ano 'yon?"

He sighed and slowly, he held my hand. I have this feeling that he'll confessed or something. "I'm really thinking of this these past days and I'm done. Ngayon, sasabihin ko na talaga."
