It was June 6th, the day of Green Run's Prom and Renae was acting as if the twins were getting married. They both preferred different gowns even tho Ary wanted them to coordinate but Reign wasn't with it and made it known multiple times that she was only being friendly to Kaari for the sake of their little siblings.

It was 2 in the afternoon and Yanna was working on Kaari's hair in the living room while Renae did Reign's in the bedroom.

Shawn made it home two days after the incident with Marvin and when he heard Reign's side he gave his mom an earful that he kinda felt bad for saying but the fact that she didn't do a background check on him to find out that he went to jail at twenty for molesting his own niece, made Shawn look at her very differently.

The only reason Shawn found out about it was because of Dajon. After he told King what he should've told him, Dajon looked Marvin up and found the charges that someone tried to erase. He was a known killer and also a sex offender. King was on his ass like white on rice and literally waiting on him to pop back in the moment he thought shit was sweet.

Renae almost put it to Yae'Shawn's mom but didn't off the strength of Shawn telling her she didn't know and in his words, she always picks the weirdos... she literally attracts them Mrs. Stone and I'm always picking up her heart after they break up. She felt bad for him, he's been dealing with her ain't shit booty-calls since he was a teenager and still loved her.

Renae saw a piece of the young lost her in him and that only made her like him more.

He took Reign on a proper date a week after the incident and she had the time of her life. They went to the Waterpark then went out to dinner. The morning after, they had breakfast at a new vegan diner that opened up, in the afternoon, they went to movies and played 'theater hop' until they got caught by the time they got to their seventh movie.

The day after, they went to the carnival and stayed until closing sitting on the carousels talking about anything and everything that came to Reign's mind. The day after, they went back with their friends but left hours later and went to Top Gulf to spend time alone.

What really stuck out to Reign was the fact that after all of their dates, Shawn never once tried to touch her or go down on her. He dropped her off on time and if they would go over curfew he would call King an hour in advance.

Reign wasn't sure why he wasn't touching her, but the fact that he actually wanted to spend time with just her made her feel good.

He was really bringing the life out of her and she appreciated him for that, the family even noticed her warming glow and Tish even cut their sessions down to once every other week. She was improving on her own and also with Shawn's help and the care from her family.

She was tired of letting the bad have its way with her and refused to let the Marvin incident control her. Shawn was truly what kept and made her happy, she just couldn't believe she loved her best friend, that was something she'd never expected.

Assyria was happy to have her back because Reign took it upon herself to sleep in the room with her and Assyria loved it. Every night, she had a different story to tell and Reign loved that she was actually opening up to her.

Assyria used to keep herself guarded from Reign but what she didn't know, Assyria only hung around Kairo and Ava because of things Kaari used to tell them about Reign. They were young and didn't know better, except for Kairo who knew from jump Kaari would be the sibling he would have to lay hands on possibly more than once.
