Feeling movement, Reign's heart rate quickened causing her to squeeze her eyes shut trying to drown out the voices. It's been a while since she had a panic attack and wasn't sure why it was happening now.
"Des... baby, what's wrong?" She could hear the tiredness in his voice but it still calmed her.
"Baby?"
"I'm ok... bad dream," she mumbled.
Turning over, he pulled her body into his and she took slow breaths as she messed with his chain.
"Talk to me,"
"I'm fine," she assured.
Looking around the dim room, Yae'Shawn checked the time seeing that it was going on nine in the evening. It was different because they never slept this long before.
"You hungry?" He asked placing his hand over hers.
"I'm tired... sleepy," she admitted.
"Do you want me to make you something tho, baby?"
"No,"
"I'm about to grab me something then come back, that's cool?" He asked and she nodded closing her eyes.
Getting up, he grabbed a pair of baller shorts and headed out of the room.
After twenty minutes, he was in the room with a turkey burger sandwich, chips, and a Gatorade.
"Baby," He gently shook her.
"Hm?"
"Take a bite for me,"
"I'm tired Shawn," she mumbled softly.
"We've been sleeping for about eight hours Des, I want you to put something on your stomach," he told her.
"I'm t— fine," she sighed sitting up holding the sheet against her.
"What's wrong with you?" He asked noticing her attitude.
"I'm not upset," she assured when she picked up on the concerned look on his face.
Staring at her briefly, Yae'Shawn shook his head and put the plate down on the nightstand.
Grabbing his T-shirt, he handed it to her for her to put on and continued to study her momentarily.
"What's wrong?" He asked again.
"I just want to sleep,"
Chuckling softly, he smirked. "You're horny aren't you?"
Confused, Reign stared at him and he only laughed more.
"Baby... I know you inside and out. You have like nine different cries... you're horny or afraid to talk about something, which is it?"
"I kinda jus waan tings tuh bi ova... Mi nuh really undastan wah mek wi haffi put skool pan wull jus bikaaz awon a rampin mind games," she explained and he stared at her for a moment trying to catch on.
"You feel like we should go back and continue our classes?" He asked and she nodded.
"Maybe do online... waiting... it'll jus push us bak," she replied and he nodded understanding.
