It was a little later in the day, Renae was asleep, King managed to clean up the vomit outside and inside before the kids got home. He had to take a moment to collect his thoughts because things were really starting to hit the fan out of nowhere.

He didn't understand why or how, but all of that was too much and too soon. It seemed out of the blue, he couldn't understand why Lucy wanted to be part of the family again.

They didn't need anymore leeches or added stress on them, they were fine with who they had around them now and didn't want anyone else trying to weed their way in.

This was a problem for him now, because he knew this was definitely going to rest on Renae's mental for weeks, maybe months until she could find a way to stop trying to blame herself or find a flaw in herself.

"Daddy?" Assyria called as she peeped into King's den.

Looking up from the paperwork, he stared at her and she smiled walking inside, removing his chain from behind her back.

"Where'd you find dat?" He asked placing her on his lap.

"Behind my bed, I've been looking alllll over for it," she giggled as he placed it on her.

"I can get my new one back den, right?" He smirked then laughed when she quickly shook her head.

"You gon' make me buy another one?"

"Un-huh," she nodded then laughed when he tickled her.

"Daddy gonna go broke, den what you gon' do?" He challenged and she tapped her chin in thought.

"Maybe.... give you some of my money,"

"Nah," he chuckled. "Keep your money, I'm just playing,"

"Ok," she shrugged, staring at the tv.

"Can I watch cartoons?" She asked with her hand already on the remote.

"You don't gotta ask," He shrugged, returning his focus to the paperwork.

"Ruby Bridges," she spoke into the remote.

Furrowing his brows, King glanced up then at her a little taken aback. "What you know about her?"

"K.J says RayRay likes her, I wanna see if it's good," she answered then shushed him after hitting play.

Laughing to himself, he let her watch the movie as he went back to business. He knew she just wanted to be in his presence, the other kids often got his attention, leaving her out since she was quiet and liked to be in her own bubble.

So if she wanted to hang with him while he worked, that was fine.

After finalizing, sending emails, making deals, sending money to charities, and checking on the land that he was trying to buy, King put his things up and joined Assyria.

Baby girl was so engrossed in the movie, she didn't move one bit. Her elbows were propped on the desk with her hands resting under her chin as her ankles were crossed. King knew some parts of the movie got to her because he saw how her expressions changed often as if she couldn't believe her own eyes and ears.

The kids were aware of racism but he figured she just never expected it to be in such detail inside a movie.

"That is so rude... I would... o— Daddy I would beat her up," she frowned when the woman spit at Ruby once she walked by.
