It's been almost two weeks since the group has been back. Tamir was spending as much time with his family before they had to leave, Daewon was doing the same and hanging with Nazim and Nadia. Kaari was still trying to get Janelle to forgive her but that was still a long process and Kaari was honestly growing tired of trying to make amends. Parker was still around and happy that Kaari was back in Reign's good graces, with the permission of Kingston, Parker was able to sleep over a few nights until her presence became annoying to the entire house, even poor Assyria was fed up with her loud mouth and her always wanting to eat their snacks.
Reign just paid her no mind because she knew Kaari liked her but she could also see that Kaari was starting to drift away from her which to Reign was a good thing. Kaari was still going to therapy and looking for a temporary job until they left next month, Tish only called Reign for the video sessions once every two weeks and even gave her small assignments to do just to keep her thoughts positive throughout the rest of the year.
It was ten in the morning and Reign was currently at Yae'Shawn's grandparents house getting ready for an early date he had planned for the two. His mom was at work, his grandfather was doing his usual walk through the area and his grandma was in the living room folding clothes.
Putting on the indigo-colored sweater to pair with her white high waisted jeans, Reign checked the time before leaving out the bedroom.
"Good morning sweetheart," Fatima greeted when Reign entered the living room.
"Mawnin Ms. Tima,"
"Call me grandma chile, I don't care," she laughed scooting over and waved Reign over after making room.
"You look nice, that grandson of mine taking you out huh?" She smirked and Reign laughed nodding.
"Did you see his gift?"
Reign stared at her confused and Fatima waved it off.
"Never mind that, I see the ring on your finger.... you two engaged?" She questioned.
"It'z a promise ring," Reign smiled staring at the ring.
"Do you think you guys will get married?"
"I feel it," Reign admitted and Fatima softly smiled.
"Tell me something sweetheart... how come you like his mom so much? I'm not saying you shouldn't, but she's told me and he's told me that you're always rooting for her. Usually, I'd say that's crazy but sheesh knowing my daughter, somebody gotta do it" she said and Reign shrugged unsurely.
"Mi parents always taught us to respect adults and shi wuz always nice to mi. Even when shi did start treating mi different I still liked her. I just wanted her and Shawn to bond kaaz I knew how much he needed her,"
