• Lane when Katie told him what had happened •
As the car pulls into the garage of the warehouse, Katie gently shakes Rebel awake. The African American girl jerks as she wakes up, groaning when she sees Katie's face.
"How long was I out?" Rebel groans, rubbing her face.
Lola turns and leans into the backseat of the car. "The entire ride home."
Rebel looks to Katie, who slowly nods. The girl with hot pink tips in her long hair groans tiredly.
"I didn't sleep too good last night." Rebel complains.
Guilt pegs Katie's chest. "I'm sorry."
Lola shakes her head at Katie. "Don't sweat it, Bel never sleeps good anyways."
Katie arches her brow at the nickname. She looks at Rebel, whose still waking up.
"Bel?" Katie asks.
"It's a nickname the other gave me." Rebel slowly climbs out of the car.
Katie sighs and climbs out. Max, Margo, and the guys had all went inside already. Lola swings an arm around Rebel's neck. The blonde follows after them like a lost puppy.
As they walk up the hallway, Katie hears a distant sound. To her, it sounds like angry yelling. Rebel grabs her forearm and motions for the blonde to follow them. With nothing else to do, the innocent girl follows the other two.
"Where are we going?" Katie simply asks, wanting to make conversation.
As they walk further, Katie hears the yelling get louder.
"Lane's office." Lola chuckles, looking back at Katie. "He sounds happy, doesn't he?"
Katie slows her pace. Rebel lets go of Lola and gets beside the blonde. Lola skips further to Lane's office.
How odd. Katie thinks as she watches Lola slip merrily.
"A word of advice, don't piss Lane off." Rebel tells Katie, "He's a cold blooded killer who isn't afraid of bloodshed."
Katie gives her a terrified look, stuttering. "Oh-Okay."
"Just keep your mouth shut and keep a distance, alright? Lane won't even notice you're here." Rebel adds.
The two girls walk into the office. The blonde stop when she sees shelves full of books, shocked.
When does a cold-blooded killer have time to read? Or a leader of a gang called Dirty Knives? Katie wonders in awe, following Rebel to where Ace stands near the exit door. What are these books about?
From where Katie stands, she can tell the whole gang is gathered in Lane's office. Max and Axel sit in two chairs with a chess set in between them. Margo sits on the edge of Lane's desk, batting her eyes at him. The blonde looks to Max, who nods at her with a smug look.
