The sound of the water bouncing on the titles of the bathroom echo in the small bathroom. Katie closes her eyes and tilts her head back as Lane attaches his lips to her shoulder. She feels his hands moving up and down her stomach and abdomen, his lips kissing up to her neck. The blonde bites her lower lip, sighing happily. But she begins to realize that she doesn't feel the water from the shower or Lane's kisses. The only thing Katie does feel is Lane's strong arms wrapping around her body, holding her tightly in place.

"Mmm, Baby." Katie softly sighs as he continues to kiss her neck.

The blonde hears him softly sigh behind her, the feeling of a kiss on the back of her head. She arches a brow.

Why can't I feel the water? Katie wonders, Why couldn't I feel his kisses before? I think it's time for me to get out.

Katie manages to effortlessly shimmy out of Lane's strong grasp. Without looking back, she grabs the towel that hangs on the mounted hook on the wall outside the shower. She wraps the towel around her body and takes a deep breath in, the air hot around her. Making it hard for her to breath. She continues to feel something tightly wrapped around her body, as if Lane had never let go. Shrugging it off as the towel being too tight, Katie continues over to the mirror. The reflective glass is covered in steam from the shower.

Just like in the movies. She smirks at her own thoughts, I'm living a life worth turning into a movie.

The blonde puts her hand on the glass and wipes a strip of steam off the mirror. She loudly gasps at the sight before her, taking a step back. In the mirror, Katie sees another woman staring back at her. Her eyes are green, her blonde hair wavy. She is Katie but twenty years older with many creases in her skin.

How did I get so old? The blonde takes a step closer to the mirror, God, I out aged my mom and I look almost nothing like her.

Strong arms suddenly wrap tightly around Katie's middle. She softly smiles, trying to imagine what Lane would look like twenty years older than before.

I bet he's a silver fox. She blushes, grinning from ear to ear. I bet he still has those striking blue eyes that seem to glow in the dark.

Katie turns around to face her lover. "Lane-"

Shock and terror fills the blonde as she sees a man with brown eyes and slicked back hair standing there. She grasped the sink, trembling in fear. The longer she stares at him, the more familiar he becomes in her mind.

"Wh-Who are you?" The blonde demands firmly.

"Baby, it's me." The man reaches out to embrace her but she flinches, pulling away.

"Where's Lane? Lane!" Katie cries out as her heart beats fast in her chest. "Lane! Lane!"

"Don't you remember?" The man holds the side of her face, talking to her in a baby like tone.

Suddenly, everything clicks in the blonde's mind. Lane had been killed by Elijah so long ago for revenge and Katie was forced to become his wife. The man whom stands in front of her is Elijah, her husband.

Her heart drops to her stomach as tears swell in her green eyes. She shakes her head at her husband, gasping as she begins to sob. Her chest heavily rising and falling. Katie's hands automatically go up to her eyes, wiping her tears as they stream down her aged face.

"Oh, Lane!" She softly cries out, her heart breaking. "No, Lane! Why?"

"Shh!" Elijah pulls her into his chest, comforting her as he pats her back and plays with her hair. "Stop crying now. It's alright, Kitten. Shhh!"

The sudden need to vomit fills the blonde, her eyes opening wide.

Katie's body rises up from the bed, effortlessly pulling out of Lane's arms. Her feet swinging over the side of the bed. Her hand flies to her mouth as she darts towards the bathroom, instantly vomiting in her hand. She goes to the toilet and lets out her vomit into the bowl. Her heart aches in her chest as she suddenly feels her own tears on her cheeks.

The light flickers on in the personal bathroom, blinding Katie for a few moments. She closes her eyes, not daring to look up at the person who stands in the doorway.

Please just go away! She internally pleads, her heart feeling vacant. I don't want anyone or anything anymore.

Heavy footsteps echo against the title flooring of the bathroom. The sound of the water rushing in the sink partially catches Katie's attention. She continues to cry but stops vomiting, only dry heaving. The sink turns off.

The shock of the cool, wet rag against Katie's warm face makes her jump. She looks up to see Lane standing there with a tired, worried expression. He wipes her tear stained cheeks and drooling mouth, grabbing her hands to wipe off the vomit. The blonde stares up at him in shock, her green eyes wide.

"Take your shirt off for me." Lane softly commands, frowning.

Katie slowly looks down at her shirt in confusion. Vomit stains are apparent on her grey top. She looks up to see that Lane is gone. Rattling from the dresser echoes from the bedroom.

Pouting her lips, she softly calls to him. "Lane?"

"Hold on." The sound of his voice, even in annoyance, makes her break into tears. Happiness filling her. "I had to find you a clean-why are you crying?"

Katie cries out, her arms reaching for him. "Lane!"

The blue eyed man grabs her wrist, stopping her. He arches his brow at her odd behavior, nodding towards her shirt.

"Off. Now." Lane says slowly.

Katie nods, wiping her face before taking her vomit stained top off. Her pink bra is revealed. She tosses it to the floor. Lane gives her an annoyed look, rolling his eyes. He helps her into a lavender colored, cotton t-shirt.

"There you go." Lane talks softly, "Go lay down."

Katie suddenly clings to him, her eyes full of desperation. Lane stares down at her in confusion, his double chin visible. His brow arched. She feels his nearly smooth chest as she tries to hold back tears. The blue eyed man tries to read her eyes for an answer but finds that she's unreadable. Lane pulls her even closer to him, wrapping his red robe around her. She cuddles his chest with her cheek to his left bosom.

"What did you dream?" He runs a hand through her blonde hair, feeling it's silky texture. "Hmm?"

Katie shakes her head, taking a step back. She avoids eye contact with him as guilt fills her.

"We had a long day." She quickly walks past him to their bed, "Let's go to back to bed."
