The master bedroom door swings open, in walks Lane with Katie in his arms. She continues to sob into his neck as he tiredly carries her to their bed. He sits her down, giving her temple a peck as he takes his coat off. He drapes it over a chair.

Lane goes to their personal bathroom, grabbing a wash cloth. He pulls his dark grey hoodie sleeves up, wetting the cloth with cool water. He turns off the faucet and wrings the wet wash cloth. He goes to the bedroom, spotting Katie sitting on the side of the bed where he left her.

"Shhh!" Lane tries to softly calm her, wiping the snot and tears off her face with the cool wash rag. "Stop crying, Kitten. It's not your fault."

Katie looks down at her lap, opening the wrinkled up paper. Lane follows her eyes to the paper. He arches a brow.

"What do you have there?" Lane asks knowingly, "You had the suicide note."

Lane starts to grab the note when Katie pulls it away from him. He looks up into her eyes confused. The blue eyed man sees pain and anger in her eyes.

"You cheated on me." Katie says in a low voice, full of spite. "You cheated on me with Margo."

Lane gives her blank look, his eyes unreadable. They remain in silent for a long time as they stare at each other.

                   "Who told you—" Lane commands.

"It doesn't matter." Katie's voice is cold, bitter. "You cheated on me with Margo...and now she's dead."

Lane narrows his brows at her, wearing his exhaustion on his face. "Are you insinuating that I had something to do with her death?"

Katie rises to her feet, shoving the note to Lane's chest. The blue eyed man sees the hurt and pain in his lovers eyes. He opens up the note and reads it repeatedly.

"You cheated on me!" Katie cries out once again.

"You don't understand! I made a mistake!" Lane defends himself, "I thought I lost you, Katie! I blamed myself! Your supposed death weighed heavy on my shoulders and I was out of my fucking mind!"

Katie shakes her head at him, horrified by his insensitive words. "You played her!"

"Yes!" He hisses at her angrily, "Yes, I knew she lusted me and I preyed on her. But I never fucked her!"

Katie crosses her arms, turning away from him. She paces the floor as she cries. Lane watches her with caution, his exhaustion weighing him down.

"You would have!" Katie shakes her head, sobbing. "Eventually you would have!"

"You don't know that!" The blue eyes msn defends himself once again, "I felt disgusted with myself and I apologized to her! She kept on and kept on until she pushed me too fucking far! I slapped her around until she got the message I didn't want her!"

"You're a monster!" Katie shakes her head at him, "You're a predator and a monster!"

Katie starts to run but Lane's hand quickly grabs her bicep. She looks up into his eyes, seeing the ice in his eyes turn to water. He grabs her hips and pulls her into his body.

"Don't ever run away from me again. Please." Lane's voice is low, on the verge of breaking. "I didn't know you were alive and I was desperate...I used this girl for my own selfish needs, but I just kissed her. I couldn't go any farther, Katie, Baby! She wasn't you and I told her that...she killed herself, not me. She's responsible for her own death."

Lane wipes the tears off Katie's cheeks, his heart strings tugged. The blonde sees the melted ice in his eyes forming an ocean. She sniffs and looks at his chest that is eye level to her. The blonde closes her eyes and buried her head into her lovers warmth. The blue eyed man's hands run through her golden blonde hair.

Feet scuffle in the doorway. Katie wraps her arms around Lane's torso, grabbing a handful of his hoodie.

"What do you want?" Lane says low, annoyed.

"What are we going to do with the body?" The voice belongs to Axel.

Lane looks down at his lover, his double chin pooching out between his chin and his thick neck. He purses his lips.

"Bury her in the woods somewhere." Lane nods to the large windows, "Make sure its a proper burial."

              Axel nods. "Yes, sir."

"Tomorrow we'll discuss your new position." The blue eyed man continues to run his fingers through Katie's hair, "Now, we focus on burying the body, getting rid of the evidence, and getting some rest."

"Yes, Boss." Axel nods to him once again.

Katie peaks over to see Axel and Cassie in the doorway. The redhead starts to move toward her friend but the tattooed man grabs her bicep, shaking his head at her. They both walk out.

"Do you feel guilty?" Katie asks him softly, "About Margo's death?"

"She was stupid." Lane softly says in the blonde's golden hair, his eyelashes batting in the darkness. "She wanted something she couldn't have and wanted to be something she couldn't be...she was foolish enough to die for a cause not worth killing herself over. It's her own fault that she couldn't except the truth and her own reality."

"What do you mean?" Katie sniffs, looking up into Lane's eyes. "What cause was not worth a suicide?"

The blue eyed man heavily sighs, giving his beloved a sad look. "Me."
