The feeling of the bed moving and covers ruffling wakes Katie. Her eyes flutter open, yawning as she stretches.

"Mmmm Lane?" The blonde softly whispers, her heavy eyelids closing again.

In the distance, Katie hears the banging sound of the toilet seat hitting the lid. Her face scrunches up in confusion, different thoughts jumbling together.

What is that? Is he taking a- Katie bears the sound of someone urinating in the bathroom, loud sighs following after. He's peeing. My baby's taking a pee-pee...

The blonde starts to drift off to sleep when the sound of the commode flushing and the toilet seat banging against the bowl. The sound of rushing water from he sink doesn't last but 30 seconds.

He's so loud! It's annoying! Katie buries her face into her pillow, smelling her natural sweat scent on the pillows. Why can't he be more quiet?

Lane walks back into the bedroom, heavily sighing. He smiles at his lover as she sleeps, finding her puckered lips and angelic face adorable. He goes to the window and peeks outside the curtain.

"Shit!" Lane softly curses in shock, "We're going to be here for a while."

Katie's eyes crack open, her face scrunching up. "Hhhmmmm?"

The blue eyed man turns to see his beloved lover slowly flipping over, facing the middle of her bed. Her green eyes slowly open wider as she becomes more awake. The blonde looks down to see Lane isn't wearing anything, looking back up to see him smiling at her softly.

"Good morning." Lane grabs the covers and pulls them back, climbing in next to his lover. "God, you're cold."

Katie scoots into his chest, her cold nose bumping against his warm flesh. His bare legs wrap around one of hers, their legs tangling together. The blonde heavily sighs with a tired smile.

"Is it morning yet?" Katie yawns.

"Yeah, but you can sleep in." Lane lays on his back, resting the back of his head on the inside of his forearm. "We're not going anywhere anytime soon."

Katie scoots over to Lane, fitting between his arm and chest. She snuggles into his body heat, her t-shirt not providing enough warmth for her. The blue eyed man stares up at the ceiling with a small smile.

"Why aren't we leaving anytime soon?" Katie says in a baby like tone, her head resting on Lane's left collarbone on his chest.

"It snowed five to six inches last night." Lane answers her casually.

Suddenly, Katie props herself up on her elbow. Her green eyes are wide.

"It snowed?" Katie looks over to the window's curtain that has been closed to provide darkness. "Why didn't you tell me?"

Katie starts to get up out of bed, but Lane grabs he wrist. She looks to him with a surprised face, his full of annoyance.

"Lay back down." Lane commands softly, "No need to go running off the first chance I get a free moment with you. Let me have this."

Katie softly smiles at him, feeling fuzzy inside. She lays back down, her head resting on the center of his chest. Lane pulls the covers up to her shoulders. He holds her close to him, kissing the top of her head.

"Just you and me, Princess." Lane closes his eyes as he relaxes, "Just you and me."

Hey readers! That was short but sweet! Can everyone name ALL the characters that have appeared and died so far in this story? I'm trying to think back at the body count but it's A LOT of chapters to go through. You don't have to, just curious. I don't have much to say other than be safe and healthy ❤️🙏🏼😷
