Chap. 84: And It's Not To Me!

• Katie trying to keep it together, before failing •

Katie rushes out of Las Fiestas, tears streaming down her face. Her makeup ruined. She spots the two black Cadillac's, running in heels over to where her friends are standing. Max is the first to see the heartbroken blonde.

"What happened to you?" The girl with the dyed blonde, pixie cut asks Katie with wide eyes. Worry and anger in her voice.

Lola, Rebel, and Cassie turn to see Katie's makeup smudged face. Rebel pushes Lola aside and rushes over to her friend, embracing her tightly.

"What happened?" The mixed girl with orange highlights in her hair holds the blonde out in front of her firmly, "Angel, what happened?"

The girls gather around the teary blonde. Rebel holds Katie to her for comfort.

"Lane's getting married!" She begins to bawl, her eyes shutting tight. "And it's not to me!"

The girls all gasp in shock, eyes and mouths wide. The blonde's chest violently rises and falls as her heart continues to tear in her chest. Pain punches her heart, Katie holds hand over her chest. Her face scrunches up.

"Oh, Angel." Rebel says in shock, looking off in thought. "Are you sure?"

Katie nods firmly, sucking in air as it becomes harder to breathe. "He...The reason why we came is because one of the Prince's wants to offer his daughter to marry Lane-and Lane said he'd take her!"

The girls all exchange a worried look. Suddenly, several of the guys from the gang appears. They give Katie a confused look. Some, like Axel, Frankie, and Elijah, seem concerned.

"What's wrong? Where's Boss?" Frankie asks, glaring at Lola.

Before anyone can say anything, Katie loudly bawls. "He's getting married!"

The girls awkwardly looks between each other. Max is the reddy to speak.

"And not to Katie here." She nods.

The guys all stare at Katie in shock, their mouths dropping. At loss for words. The blonde wraps he arms around Rebel's neck as she bawls.

"How do you know that he's getting married?" Elijah squints his eyes in confusion, a brow raised.

"The reason why Boss was called here today was because one of the Prince's wants Lane to marry one of his daughters, right?" Rebel looks to Katie, who sadly nods into her collarbone.

Axel closes his eyes. "I should have went in there. I'm one of the Prince's."

"You're not doing your job, someone else must of took over." Jett nods, shrugging. "Get used to it is all I can say."

"They kissed-" Katie's face scrunches up as she begins to picture another scene.

She imagines Lane laying in the bed that she thought was theirs with Gabriella. Their lips are attached, their hands roaming each other's naked bodies as Lane makes passionate love to the Latina. Taking Katie's place.

Katie holds her stomach as she hunches over, vomiting. Axel quickly grabs her hair and pulls it back out of her face. He looks up at the others, who are still in shock.

"I lost him-" Katie vomits again, "I think I'm going to die!"

Jett rolls his eyes. "After all Boss has done to keep your precious ass safe, happy, and content, and he suddenly lets you go because of some chic-then they've drugged him in there."

Katie gets off balance, falling. Elijah quickly catches her, holding her up. She leans against his stomach, wobbly on her feet.

Suddenly, Lane emerges from the building. He frantically looks around in fear and worry. His blue eyes stop when he sees Katie being held by Elijah. His heart shatters, his body frozen. He blinks a few times, trying to wake up from a nightmare. But the crime lord soon realizes that he is wide awake and his lover is now in another man's hands.
