Warren parks at Willy's Gas Station. Katie had been crying for a few miles. When they stop, the blonde looks to Warren.

"How did you even find me?" Katie says, "How do you know all this stuff? Warren tell me!"

Warren puts his hands up in defense. "Okay, so, about two weeks ago, Fairfield mansion burned down. Your body wasn't found but your uncle and a few maids were."

Katie nods expectantly. "And?"

"Well, obviously you weren't dead like everyone claimed you were. So I naturally went to the crime scene and investigated. That's when I found this-" The brown eyed boy opens the glove department, taking out a paisley scarf of blue, purple, pink, and red. "My dad, Sheriff Wiley Baxter, had brought in this guy for questioning and he had this exact scarf on."

"They make the same types of scarfs, Warren." Katie reminds him, annoyed. "It isn't original."

"Shh! I'm telling you how I brilliantly figured it out." Warren explains excitedly, making Katie roll her eyes at him. "Anyways, I heard the guy talking to my dad and this dude is associated with many other gangs such as Horned Vipers, Four Leaf Clovers, Dirty Knives, and so on."

Chills run up and down Katie's spine at the mentioning of Dirty Knives. She shivers at the thought of Lane catching them. She spots a person on a motorcycle pull up to the side of the Gas Station building. Katie looks back at Warren, whose still rambling on about how he was able to take Katie away from Lane and the crime world.

"Then I asked this guy that was waiting after my dad had went to file paper work if he knew what had happened at the Fairfield residence." Warren's face and eyes are lit up with excitement, Katie smirks at how gleeful he is. "He told me that he and the top five crime lord's in all of Pinewood and Washington State have this very scarf to resemble their alliance!"

That must be Lane's then. Katie softly takes the scarf from Warren's hands, feeling it's soft texture. He must have dropped it when he was making a getaway from my house before it caught fire.

"And then I asked him who they were...just as my dad walked up." Warren sinks in his seat, annoyed at the memory. "I didn't get an answer but I figured I'd go to car washes and bowering allies because that's the top places were the crime boss's have their money and business done."

"You watch too many crime shows." Katie holds her head in annoyance, her head spinning.

"Anyways, I watched them for a few days but nothing happened." Warren further explains, "But then I saw three suspicious black Cadillac's driving into a strip club last night."

Katie freezes. "Oh, God."

"I saw you in that ridiculously hot outfits and knew I had to save you." Warren tells her, "I followed you back to their hideout and waited until morning when they left...thankfully they left behind one of them."

"Ace." Katie's voice is distant.

"I knew I couldn't fight him and he wouldn't let me get to you so I sneak attacked him and hit him with a rock." Katie looks at Warren in horror, he nods to her. "It's the most aggressive I've ever been."

"Zach Cumberberg used to toss you in the trash everyday until graduation day." Katie shakes her head, "I can't believe you would actually do something like that, Warren."
