Lane West above & his cute lil glasses •

The three black Cadillac's pull into the gas station, their tanks nearly empty. Each of the vehicles pull into the empty slots of the gas station.

Lane gets out if the backseat, looking around with his dark sunglasses. He looks down into the car and takes his lover's hand, helping her out of the car. He nods to Axel before heading to the gas station to pay for gas and snacks for the road trip. Max and Cassie all dash past the two lovers, followed by an embarrassed Rebel and Frankie. Katie smiles at her friend with a chuckle and looks back at whose filling the vehicles with gas. Luka, one of Elijah's boys that was snuck over, stands waiting for gas to be pumped by Jett. Phoenix and Axel fill the other two vehicles. Ryder, Marco, and Elijah all follow the coupe at a distance. The blonde makes eye contact with Elijah, who gives her a smug smirk.

Lane intertwines their fingers, catching the blonde's attention. She turns back around and looks at her lover expectantly. She reads his stoney expression, nodding.

Suddenly, a loud barking fills the air. Two full grown German Shepards come running out from behind the trash cans on the side of the building, heading straight towards the blonde. Katie gasps loudly, freezing. Lane is slightly jerked backwards.

One of the German Shepards jumps up on the blonde, barking happily. The other goes behind her and puts its front paws on her shoulders, licking her neck. Katie loudly giggles, grinning happily at the tickling of their wet tongues. She lets go of Lane's hand and bends down, petting the two dogs who seem excited to see the blonde.

"Get off her!" Lane kicks at the dogs, who growls at him.

"Don't hurt them!" The blonde cries out in worry, stroking the female dog's head. "They're friendly."

"Katie, they could have rabies or God knows what else! Don't let them lick you." Lane exclaims, pulling her away from the two strays. "Come on. Leave the bitches alone."

Katie pouts her lower lip as Lane pulls her into the gas station. "I think this one's a boy and the other is a girl."

"Which means puppies." Lane grumbles, glaring down at the strays with a sneer. "Something we don't need."

The blonde pouts her lip but leaves the two strays as Lane instructs her to. They follow her to the door but get the door slammed in their face. Katie turns and looks at the dogs with pity, her heart swelling with love.

"Poor babies." Katie says in a baby like tone.

Lane looks at her face, seeing the sudden attachment in her green eyes. It leaves him feeling smoothers, considering the crime lord deeply dislikes animals of all kinds. Especially ones that sheds.

"Go wash your hands and wherever else those dogs touched you." Lane shakes his head aggravated, "God knows how long it's been since they've had a bath."

"Or a warm meal." Katie says, trying to make her lover feel guilty. "Or a warm place to sleep."

Before he can turn and look at her, the blonde hurries away to the bathroom to wash up. Lane looks to the dogs that tries to get inside the building as the three men walk inside.

"They're awfully friendly, aren't they?" Ryder smirks.

Lane walks up to the counter, taking out his bill fold. "They're awful. That's all."
