As I wait for the last hour of this flight which felt like years I couldn't help but think... Am I doing the right thing? It's been 2 years and I haven't spoke to anyone really, haven't kept in contact nothing. I'm in a good place right now but I miss home, I miss my family, I miss those beautiful green eyes that always had my back.
That hour passed and it was time to disembark the plane, as soon as I exited and walked down the steps onto the tarmac it hit me, that beautiful crisp Chicago air. All that wondering and stress left. It was going to be fine.
I walked to baggage claim and collected my bag and made my way out of the airport, walking through those doors I couldn't have been happier.
"Hey kiddo, it's good to see you" voight said as he hugged me. "It's good to have you back, it definitely hasn't been the same without you but a lot has changed. But it will be good to have you back in intelligence you always knew that their was always a spot with your name on it" "It's good to be home, I missed you. Even with all the tormenting and shit you annoyed me with, I missed that" Erin chuckled.
They got in Voights car and drove to his house. They both got out and he grabbed Erins things and walked up to the house to go inside. "Ahhh god it's good to see this place, even if it's where I had a lot of shitty days it reminds me of so many good memories, you know I still can't ever thank you enough" Erin smiled. Hank squeezing on Erins shoulder "well you can stay here as long as you need, this will always me your home"
After dinner and all the catching up I said goodnight and walked up to my old room. I flopped onto the bed exhausted from the travelling and stress which I knew wasn't necessary. It was going to take me a while to fall to sleep because I couldn't shake the butterflies in my stomach for what was to come tomorrow because I had no idea what was to come.
