Jay walked in. It was quiet, he yelled Erin's name a few times but nothing. He walked up to the kitchen counter and noticed a few beers lying around and a bottle of vodka sitting on the bench. He started to panic walking around the apartment. He ran into the bedroom and she wasn't there. He noticed the bathroom door was slightly open. He could her Erin crying. He opened it, Erin was sitting on the floor, the pill packet was in the sink empty.

Jay "Erin! What have you done" he picked her up into his arms and carried her over to the bed "Did you take these?" He was cranky yet tried to stay calm.

Erin crying "No I flushed them" she paused and looked up at him "Jay I'm so sorry, for everything"

Jay pulled her into his arms "Hey it's okay, it's going to be okay"

Erin "Jay why are you still here, why did you take me back? You can't fix me, I'm broken. Your never going to be able to have a family with me"

Jay "Erin I love you. I'm never going to try fix you, I'm just going to be there for you to lean on and to help things get better"

Erin "But what if I can't give you a future"

Jay "If you can't have a baby then there is plenty of other options out there, we don't even need to be discussing this right now, neither of us are ready."

After they chatted for a while. They were lying on the bed. Jay was playing with Erins hair and Erin had her head resting on his chest listening to his heartbeat.

Erin "Jay" she said softly

Jay "Yeh babe"

Erin "I never asked you how you felt"

Jay "About what?"

Erin "About our baby we lost"

It was quiet for a moment. Jay wasn't sure how to take it. It was the first time they had spoken about any of it since Erin got out of the hospital.

Jay "To be honest I don't really know" he paused "I mean, it's a big thing. To say I wouldn't have been happy would have been a lie. I would have been thrilled, I mean it would have been out of the blue and super overwhelming but hey if I was doing it with you I couldn't have been happier. I guess it just wasn't our time"

Erin "Yeh I guess" he could feel his shirt getting wet from her tears "I'm just glad we are okay"

Jay "Me too" he kissed the top of her forehead and they drifted off to sleep.

The next morning. Jay rolled over and Erin wasn't laying next to him. He slowly got up and walked out to the kitchen, he saw her standing at the stove. He walked up and wrapped his arms around her waist.

Jay "Morning beautiful"

Erin turning towards him "Morning" she stood up on her tippy toes and kissed him "Today's gunna be a good day"

Jay "What makes you say that?" He smiled and grabbed the coffee pot

Erin "Because we are going to pick a date for the wedding"

Jay "Erin are you sure? I mean it's been a crazy couple of weeks we don't have to rush into any decisions. What's gotten into you?"

Erin "I don't want to wait anymore, life's too short to wait. You don't know what's going to happen around the corner"

Jay picked her up and sat her on the counter "I love you"

Erin "I love you too" she pulled him in for a kiss rubbed her hands through his hair "You need a haircut" she chuckled and then made her way into the bedroom "Come on we gotta get ready for work, but I mean we could" she started undoing her buttons on her shirt I quickly raised my eyebrows and walked over to her pushing her onto the bed and shutting the door behind me.

Later that afternoon. Erin and Jay were sitting in their car after they'd just done a drug bust.

Erin "Okay what about 1 month from now?"

Jay "Okay, if you want to I'm happy to"

Erin "Jay I want you to as well, I don't just want you wanting to do this because I want to"

Jay "Babe, of course I want to. I couldn't be happier, I was the one to say from the start I wanted it to happen sooner then later. I just want you to be ready"

Erin sighed "Okay well, a month from now so that makes it Saturday the 10th of August"

Jay "Awesome. So where?"

Erin "Maybe outside? And I only want it to be small, few people from the district. Couple from firehouse 51 and med. I don't want a big wedding. And I guess for the reception Molly's?"

Jay "Okay sounds good"

Erin smiled over at Jay "We are really doing this"

Jay "I guess we are"
