Once they finally got to the hospital, Erins contractions weren't close together so they were expecting to be sent home but Will ended up coming in so he got them set up in a room and told them they could stay, with everything that happened with the first baby he wanted to monitor and make sure everything with mum and baby were okay.
Voight took Noah back to their place and said he'd stay with him tonight so Will and Natalie could be with them. The rest of the unit were waiting patiently in the waiting room, coming in and out to check up.
It had been a solid 4 or so hours and Jay walked out into the waiting room, he was already exhausted and he wasn't even the one doing the work.
"Hey guys" everyone stood up and walked over "No baby yet, not even close to having a baby" he sighed.
"I will go grab you some coffee?" Adam said as he patted Jay on the back and headed off.
"So how is she?" Hailey said as Jay sat down.
"Frustrated, the contractions are getting closer together but she's still only like 3cm dilated, doc reckons it's going to be a while"
"Wow, respect" Kevin said as he squeezed Jays shoulder.
"You have no idea. Look I better go back in there, she just wanted a minute with Kim for some reason" Jay said getting up "Look guys just got home if you want? I don't know how long it's going to be and I don't want you's exhausted for tomorrow or today. Whatever time it is"
"Yeah sure thing. Ring us if you need anything" they smiled and watched as Jay walked back in and they walked out.
Kim and Adam stayed for a couple extra hours before heading off, it was getting to much for Adam. Erin told him it was best to leave now before it scars him for when it's Kim's turn.
Total of 6 hours. Contractions were getting stronger and more intense. Will had been called into work but was checking in when he could, but Nat was there tag teaming with Jay to help keep Erin calm.
Erin was on her knees holding onto an exercise ball with Jay behind he massaging her lower back while she slowly rolled back and fourth.
She started moaning as she was getting another contraction "Jay" she quickly grabbed his arms pulling him closer.
"Just breathe Er, you got this" he massaged her back as she tensed up squeezing his neck while he bent over behind her.
After the contraction was done she fell back and tried to relax, still clinging on to Jay.
"Hey Erin do you want to hop up on the bed, I will check how dilated you are" Natalie said as she helped Erin onto the bed.
She lifted her legs up and closed her eyes, she just wanted good news.
"Okay Erin Your still only 4cm" Natalie said as she checked Erin, when she was done she walked and stood next to Erin "Now I asked you earlier but are you sure you don't want an epidural?"
