It was the next morning, Erin was still in a fair bit of pain, she had to get stitches which meant she had to spend a couple days in hospital before going home. Besides that her and baby girl were very healthy.
She was asleep on the bed when Will walked in, he saw Jay sitting in the chair holding onto his daughter, he wasn't wearing a shirt he was doing skin to skin contact. In his eyes this was his favourite part for him, he never got to experience this before.
"Well isn't this a site for sore eyes" Will said as he knelt down besides Jay "Hows mumma doing?" He turned around a pointed at Erin who was still asleep.
"Tired. She done so well, man respect." Jay said as he circled his fingers on the baby's head.
"Yeah she was great, it's amazing what a mother can do. You done great too man, she's lucky to have a guy like you to go through that with, you didn't leave her side for a second" he smiled "And this one is perfect...Okay so your whole unit is out there waiting patiently so as soon as Erin is awake and up to it let me know and I will go get them." Will said.
"Hey if you want to take her for a second I will go see them all" Jay said as he carefully stood up from the chair and placed his daughter in Wills arms.
Jay headed down, his hair was a mess he had bags under his eyes. He looked down at his arms and saw a couple bruises of where Erin had been squeezing him. It just made him smile, he wasn't the slightest bit annoyed by it.
He walked in and saw everyone waiting in the waiting room, they all stood up and walked over.
"Hey guys" Jay said while he made a small wave at them.
"Wow Jay you look like shit" Adam said before Kim pinched him in the arm.
"How is she, hows the baby?" Hailey said as she hugged Jay.
"Erin is doing great, exhausted but great. And we have a very healthy 6.1 pound baby girl" Jay said and smiled.
Every came and gave Jay a hug just before his phone rang, it was Will saying Erin was awake and that they could all come up. They all headed up and entered the room quietly, they saw Erin laying on the bed with their baby in her arms. They all congratulated her and had a turn at holding her. Voight walked in about half hour later, he had dropped Noah off at daycare for the day, he thought it was best to give them a day to rest before introducing him to his new sister.
"Hey guys" Voight said and everyone turned and smiled, Hailey was holding the baby in her arms.
"I think it's your turn sarge" she smiled as she gently placed her in his arms.
Voight slowly walked over and sat at the end of the bed and looked at Erin and Jay "You guys sure know how to make good looking kids"
"Okay so now that everyone is here it's probably a good time to announce this little ones name" Jay said as he stroked his daughters cheek.
"So this name is very close to the heart for each and everyone of us and I'm sure this baby girl will honour that." Erin said as she smiled and looked up at Jay.
"Camille Nadia Halstead" Jay said with a smile as he watched everyone's face light up especially Hanks.
"It's perfect" Hank smiled as he bent down to give Camille a kiss on the forehead.
