Erin walked into the kitchen with Jays shirt on. Jay was grabbing a beer out of the fridge, he passed one to her.

Erin "Wow. I forgot how much I missed that, oh and you too I guess"

Jay trying to catch his breathe "That's for sure, just needed to rehydrate"

Erin "Good idea, I hope your ready for round 4" she raised her eyebrow at him smiling

Jay "I'm always ready"

He lifted her up onto the kitchen counter and started to kiss her again. Erin stopped him and jumped off, he was confused.

Erin "Move in with me"

Jay "I don't want anything more then to move in with you, I just hope it works this time round"

Erin "Well let's promise something?"

Jay "Sure"

Erin "We be open and honest with each other. If we've had a bad day we talk about it. We gotta be there for each other. No more secrets"

Jay "Cheers to that" as the both clinked there glasses together "Now where were we?" He began kissing her again as they walked towards the bedroom.

On their way to work the next morning Erin couldn't stop looking at Jay. He glanced over to her and smiled "What the hell do you keep looking at me for?"

Erin "I'm just happy, really happy"

Jay "Me too." He reached over and grabbed her hand bringing it up to his lips to kiss.

They pulled up at the district and walked in, Jay had his arm wrapped around a Erins waist up until they walked through the doors and then he let her go acting completely casual. They both said hello to Platt and buzzed there way upstairs. Erin sat at her desk and Jay walked up to Voights door and knocked "Hey Voight can I speak to you quickly?"

Voight "Sure come in, what's up Halstead?"

Jay "I want to ask Erin to marry me and I want to get your permission before I do because I know how much it would mean to her if you had our approval" He waited patiently as Voight slowly stood up from his chair and walked towards Jay inches from him.

Voight "Jay I told you from the start to keep it in your pants. And you continued to disobey my orders. I only had 1 rule, Erin was off limits. Yet somehow you just kept ignoring everything I said" he paused, the look on Jays face was amusing him "And I'm so glad you did. You make her happy and that makes me happy" Hank smiled putting his hand out for Jay to shake.

Jay sighed with relief, boy was he intimidated.
"Thanks sarge, really thanks"

Voight "Thats all then? Jay nodded "Okay then get out of my office, and shut the door"

Jay went and sat at his desk and he couldn't keep the smile off his face. So he got back up and made his way to the coffee room. Hailey seen the happiness on his face so couldn't help the curiosity so she followed him in.

Hailey walked in slapped Jay on the shoulder "Hey there old partner what's got you in such a happy mood"

Jay "Oh nothing, nothing at all"

Hailey "Oh really? Then since when does one walk out of Voights office with such a big grin on his face?"

Suddenly Ruzek walked in and straight up asked Jay "You asking Lindsay to marry you?"
Hailey a jaw dropped as she pointed towards him "Omg you so are!" She said with excitement.

Jay "Yeh maybe, I just thought I'd get the father figures approval first"

"Really happy for you man" Ruzek hugged jay as he walked out. "Yeh me too Jay, look at you two who would of thought? I'm kidding I so need to get my $50 off Atwater" She laughed walking out.

Jay walked out into the bullpen noticing his brother standing there. "Oh hey Will! What's up bro?"

Will "Hey man, you rang me remember?"

Jay "Oh yeh that's right, follow me?" He led Will outside of the district "I'm going to do it"

Will "Do what?"

Jay "Ask Erin to marry me, we have been together again for a few months and we haven't been stronger it's the right thing now"

Will "Aw man that's great, I'm really happy for you too" hugging his brother "Jay I have to ask tho because I have your best interest at heart"

Jay confused "Okay what?"

Will "Did Erin tell you what happened after she was shot? With the surgery? How it affected her?"

Jay "What are you getting at Will?"

Will "She can't have kids Jay, well it's a slim chance that she can"

Jay "She only just told me, so she knew this whole time and you didn't say a thing?" Jay was getting angrier

Will "Erin made me promise that she wanted to be the one to tell you. I just didn't expect her to wait until this long. I'm sorry Jay"

Jay "Just forget man, hey I will catch you later yeh?" Quickly hugging his brother as he stormed off.

Jay confused and upset, why did she wait so long to tell me when my own brother knew? He walked straight to her desk but she wasn't there she was over talking to Al. "Hey Erin, got a sec?" She turned and walked over to the lockers with him.

Jay "Will knew for a month and you only just told me? Why? What happened to no secrets?"

Erin "The no secrets thing was agreed on last night remember so it wasn't a secret it was just something I wanted to tell you at the right time"

Jay "Erin theres never a right time with us, you gotta realise that!" He started to talk louder

Erin "Jay you gotta lower your voice"

As they starting to feel tension and things started to get heated Atwater and Burgess were about to walk in when they heard the two of them, they made awkward eye contact apologised and walk back out.

Jay "Okay I'm sorry, it's just I feel like after everything we've been through I would have hoped you could have confined in me a little more"

Erin "Of course I wanted to Jay, trust me. But I was doing it because I didn't want to hurt you. I didn't care about myself. All I thought about was how you would feel about it. I'm sorry I should of just hardened up and told you straight away, I'm sorry"

Jay "No geez Erin what am I thinking I'm in the wrong here. You told me when you were ready and I'm okay with that. I'm sorry" he bought her in for a hug

Erin "Okay good. Again I'm sorry but lets go eat, you can drive" as she threw the keys to Jay
