Jay and Erin both sat in the car, Erin was driving of course. They had just dropped Noah off at day care and were on their way to work.

Jay grabbed Erins hand that was sitting on the gear stick and rubbed his thumb over her knuckles "So, what times the appointment?"

"Um 2pm"

"Okay well hopefully nothing pops off and we can go together" he paused "Or we could just tell Hank and then we wouldn't have to sneak around it"

"I want to tell him when we get the confirmation from the doctor, and still after that.."

Jay cut her off "Er we have to take everything with caution, we both don't want it to be like your last pregnancy so maybe being put on desk duty now might help"

She slammed on the breaks and turned into an alley, turned the car off and turned to look at Jay who's face was stunned "No no no. I know how you feel, and trust me I'm the same. But maybe if we don't be so careful and worry so much nothing will happen. So please just let me do my job, my way. Just have my back"

He could feel the ball in his throat making it hard to swallow, he knew he wasn't going to win but after how it went last time he was scared, for him yeah but mostly for Erin. He didn't want to see her go through all that again, not now that they had Noah to think about. But he knew he had to support her, that was his job. He grabbed her hand "Always"

They both walked into the district and up to the bullpen. Everyone was doing paperwork at their desks and Voight was in his office with the door shut, someone was sitting in the chair but they couldn't quite make out who it was.

Jay knocked some things off Kevin's desk and laughed "Oh sorry there Kev" he just shook his head and laughed, it was a joke they had going.

"So who's in with Voight?" He asked the others but they all shrugged their shoulders and put their heads down which confused him.

He mouthed to Erin but she also shrugged her shoulders, just after Voight opened the door and walked out "Listen up everyone" everyone looked over giving their attention to Voight "Well I don't have to introduce him, but everyone I would like you all to welcome back" just with that Mouse walked out of his office "Hey guys"

Jay stood up and quickly walked over bringing his friend into a hug "Man, it's good to see you" once they pulled apart Jay looked at him "How? What happened?"

Mouse shook his head "Over a drink? Yeah?" Jay nodded and then stood back so everyone else could welcome him back.

Later that night Jay and Mouse met up to catch up over a beer. Mouse filled him in about why he left, Jay was finally relieved that he was back, and for good this time.

"So your married and you have a son. Wow" Mouse said as he took a sip of his beer.

"Yeah things have definitely changed since you left"

"You happy?"

"Man, I couldn't be happier. You will have to meet him, his going to be one in 2 months"

"For sure, Jay I'm really happy for you. I'm glad I went back I don't think I would have realised what I wanted and how good I had it if I didn't go back"

"I'm glad your back too" he lifted his beer to Jay as they both clinked their bottles.

Jay walked into his and Erins apartment and saw Erin slowly creeping out of Noah's room with he finger up near her mouth shushing him.

"He didn't want to go down easily I take it?" Jay said looking down at his watch that was 10:14pm, way past his bedtime.

"You have no idea, she went to the fridge and grabbed a glass of water and passed a beer to Jay then leant in the counter "How was your night?"

"It was really good, it's good to have him home. Safe. I don't know why but I always worried about him" he took a swig of his beer.

"Because that's who you are Jay and the connection you share, well that's something else"

"Yeah your right I guess. So I Umm organised to go see my old counsellor next week"

"That's good, baby steps" she walked around sat on the stool next to him pulling something out of her pocket, it was the sonogram picture. She placed it in front of Jay who's eyes lit up.

"Omg Erin I'm so sorry, I got so caught up in Mouse being back I completely forgot about your appointment"

"Hey it's okay, it's fine. We are all fine, we have a very healthy 9 week old baby"

"Really? 9 weeks huh? Wow. How did we miss that" he took the picture into his hands.

"I have no idea" Erin chuckled "Also, the doctor says it's only early still to say anything but so far everything looks good"

"Good, that's good." He leant over and gave her a kiss "So how do you think Noah is going to be with a little brother or sister?"

"I think he will be fine, he's great you know. A really good kid. He's really starting to grow up too, his so close to putting words together and so close to walking"

"Yeah I know, I'm exciting to see him grow up and to start creating his own little personality but then again I don't want him to grow up at all"

"Tell me about it" she chuckled "Righto, let's go get some sleep. At least try" he stood up and kiss her forehead before they walked into the bedroom.
