So I'm starting to think this story is coming to an end, I have bits and pieces that I want to add but I think I have gotten the story line I was after. I'm kind of lost on my other story so I'm giving it a break until I can start to think of some ideas but I'm thinking of starting one based on Halstead and meeting someone out of work - putting in a completely new character. Please let me know your thoughts, truly stuck on what to do next. But thankyou everyone ☺️

After Jay left Hanks house he decided to go and pick up some flowers for Erin, some daisies, he knew how much she loved them.
After he picked some up from a late night florist he went home, he crept in the door trying not to wake the kids. He noticed Erin was asleep on the lounge with a book in her hand, he placed the daisies in some water and then slowly picked Erin up and took her to their bedroom.
Once he put her down she slowly woke up, she rubbed her eyes and looked up at him with a quiet 'hi'.
Jay put his finger up to his mouth "Shhh" he pulled the blankets up to her "We'll talk tomorrow, just go to sleep"

The next morning Jay got up really early and went for a quick jog, he decided to skip the gym. Once he got back he made breakfast and then got both the kids ready. When Erin walked out of their bedroom she looked around and saw Noah and Camille playing on the lounge room floor and Jay all sweaty in the kitchen.
She walked over and saw the flowers, bending over to smell them and take in how beautiful they were. She walked around and wrapped her arms around Jay who continued to cook.
"Erin I'm done being an asshole, I'm sorry for all the shit I done these last couple weeks but I can't handle you being angry at me. I love you."
She nestled her head into his back, squeezing a little harder "I love you too."
He turned around and kissed her, she kissed him back and then pushed him away "We can have makeup sex" Jay gave her a funny look "I mean fun, later" They both laughed, they had to be careful, Noah was starting to question everything they said or done.

Later that day at work, they had just closed a case they had been working on for a couple days, it was a missing person that ended up not being missing. She just wanted to run away from her abusive husband.
Hank walked up the steps and stood in-front of everyone "Okay so who's up for a holiday?"
Everyone's eyes lit up but they all looked confused, Adam was the first to speak "I mean I would love a holiday but Maisie is only 2 months old and we do not have a steady routine for her yet"
Jay and Erin smiled and laughed a little, they knew his pain. Having a newborn sucked sometimes but you wouldn't change anything.
"What's the holiday Sarge?" Atwater and Hailey asked.
"Well it's a weekend away at some resort in Wisconsin, there's a police convention there aswell but it's only on one day and it only goes for 6 hours, so I thought maybe we could make a weekend out of it? Might be nice for everyone to clear their heads." Voight said, reading the pamphlet.
"A weekend without the kids, I will go to any convention" Erin shrugged smiling.
"Okay well I guess we are in then" Jay smiled over at Erin, then he looked at Adam "Look I could ask Will and Nat if they can look after Maisie aswell? Even for one night? Might be good for you and Burgess to have a night out."
"Um I don't know, I will ask the boss" Adam said wallking away.
Mouse walked up from his tech room and was filled in "Yeah I am so in!"
"Okay good, so everyone who is interested go put your name down with Platt. Bus leaves at 9am Friday morning"
"Really a bus? I mean can't we drive? We'd only need 2 cars?" Jay asked confused.
"They are suppling is a bus and I think it might be a nice bonding experience" Hank shrugged.
"Okay we will all ask how you feel about then when we are in the bus on our way home" Atwater said and they all laughed.
"Oh also, I have someone else that will be joining us" Hank said and everyone looked confused, Hank called out to his office. No one noticed but someone was sitting in there "Everyone you know Antonio don't you?"
Everyone started cheering and smiling, getting up to hug their old member. He'd left a couple years ago, no one knew if or when he was planning to come back.
"Ahh it's so good to see you bro!" Jay said hugging him, followed by Atwater.
"Hey man" Erin hugged him and he picked her up and swung her around.
"So I have missed a lot, I mean you guys are married, same with Burgess and Ruzek. And who has kids now?" Antonio smiled as he hugged the rest of them.
"So Jay and I have two, Noah who is 2 and a half and Camille who is 9 months old. Adam and Kim have a newborn, Maisie just 2 months old" Erin said filling him in.
"Well well Jay I didn't think you had it in you" Antonio laughed as Jay playfully punched him in the shoulder.
"Shut up tony."

The morning before they all left for their weekend away, Jay met up with Antonio at his old boxing gym.
"So your a family man now?" Antonio asked, strapping his gloves.
"Yeah, it's great. I didn't think it would happen to quickly but I wouldn't change it." Jay smiled.
"You and Erin good aswell? I mean it must be hard both being detectives and raising children, I know how hard it was with Laura and I was the only one putting my life on the line each time."
"I mean it's certainly not easy, the morning we found out about Binghams body being found she actually talked to me about laying off a little. Since then we haven't spoken about it, I don't know, like I love my kids and I love Erin but" Jay was quickly interrupted.
"But being a Detective is who you are?" Antonio said and Jay nodded "Can I tell you one thing?"
"Your going to either way so" Jay chuckled.
"Don't let your work life ruin your marriage or your family life. I let it with Laura and it was the biggest mistake of my life"
"So would you go back and change it?"
"I ask myself that everyday" Antonio said dropping his head "Anyway enough of this shit, let's get to boxing" They both laughed and walked to the boxing ring.
