Death came so suddenly
Her ego giving weight beneath herThere was no longer any room for her to survive
So to survive, she had to make up fairytalesShe forgot the legends of the old, forgot that they were real, and pretended that she was / that she is normal
She felt her heart give out from underneath her
Like she were falling through 5 layers of quicksandThere was no telling when death happened
But when it did, it had his smile
And she knew, she knew deep in her gut, that she would never recover from his touchDeath had abandoned her here
In the concrete jungle
In the buildings rising out into the skyDeath told her that she no longer existed
And she believed itDeath told her to shut up
And so she did
