Chapter 12

Zean's POV

“Hey, Zean in the house!” Nikolo tapped me on the shoulder.

“Chick problem, bro?” Tyrone said, laughing. He sat beside me at the bar. I guess.

“No,” I answered.

“Why don’t you roam around? There are plenty of girls to play with. Ready to explode, dude,” Tyrone said while sipping his tequila. What a player.

I laughed at his joke. “I’m not interested. I’m still having fun with the tequila,” I told him and downed my shot.

“Don’t fool me, Zean. Thinking of someone?” Nikolo asked.

Fuck! This guy really knows me. Well, why wouldn’t he?

“Move your ass, Nikolo. Go with your girl. Don’t interrupt me,” I said, glaring, indirectly answering his question.

“Whoa! Chill, man, chill! I’ll go ahead now.” Nikolo said.

“Me too, I’m gonna meet my chick at her condo,” Tyrone grinned.

I nodded. And they left me. They’re such idiots! Well, in case it’s not obvious where I am, I’m at Nikolo’s bar. I’m playing with Jea’s hairclip. How did it end up with me? The day I pulled her hair, I accidentally took off her hairclip and forgot to give it back. Shit! Why the hell is my heart trembling? Fuck it! I’ve been going crazy every time I think about her.

The first time I saw her was at the university. She was walking around like she was looking for her classroom. We passed each other, but she didn’t seem to notice me.

But I noticed her right away though.
She was cute.
And her scent…
Fuck. Her scent was driving me insane

Damn it! How many more bottles of alcohol do I need to drink to get her out of my damn head?

If I hadn't see her,
If she hadn’t bumped into me in the hallway and thrown Carbonara at me,
If she hadn’t shouted at me like she wasn’t scared of me, if she hadn’t shoved me, if she hadn’t taken care of me when I was sick, maybe I wouldn’t feel like this now. Maybe I wouldn’t be going crazy thinking about her. Maybe my mind would be in order.

Maybe—DAMN IT!! WHAT THE HELL IS REALLY HAPPENING TO ME?! WHY AM I ACTING LIKE AN IDIOT?

Suddenly, someone bumped my hand, making the hairclip fall.

"Oppss.. Sorry.." They all laughing.

“Pinagtatawanan niyo ba ako?”

I close my fist. Nanginginig ako sa galit.

“Oo.. Mukha ka kasing tanga sa kakalaro diyan sa hair clip mo..” Tumawa ulit siya.

“Haah! Siguro nga tanga ako!” i said in gretted teeth.

Yeah, I’m freakin’ crazy. I’m going insane over a woman who doesn’t even want to look at me, or talk to me at all. What does she even see in that basketball captain? I’m way more handsome than him—he looks like my damn fingernail.

Hell yes! I’m fuckin’ jealous! I’m jealous! Damn it!

“Yeah right haha!” Tumalikod na sila.

“Wait!”

“Wh—”

Before they could even turn around, I punched him in the face, sending him crashing to the floor. I kept kicking him in the stomach and face over and over again. All he could do was cry out in pain. His companion tried to help him, but I shot him a terrifying glare that made him stumble back and crawl out of the bar.
