"Look at me, Blue." But he couldn't. Sobbing, whimpering, hunched over with his hands on his head, Blue did not look up. He didn't.

A sickening crack rang out, a piercing scream echoing through the vast emptiness. "I said, look at me." He was shaking, pleading under his breath, begging them to stop. Another snap, another scream. He jerked, hands pressing harder, cries stuttering and broken. "Momm-AAAHH!!!"

He couldn't look up, he couldn't bear it. Crack!! "Mo-mommy!!!"Oh god, when was it going to end?! "Look at him, Blue... Just look, and it all stops." He shook his head desperately, choking on his wails. "Look at him." Shivering, Blue slowly looked up, his soul stopping. H-he... Sprinkle...

He was...

Where was he? Blue shuddered as cold laughter echoed around him. "Don't look so worried, little blue." The sea of black parted, and a very familiar human stepped out, a huge grin on his face. Hovering beneath his outstretched hand was a glowing purple button. "Your precious baby is perfectly fine." Blue's voice shook. "Wh-Where is he?" XChara laughed, strolling towards him. The OVERWRITE button gave a horrifying sound as the human pressed it.

A wave of glitched filled the air before Blue, dissipating to reveal the very child he'd been crying over and two more. Sprinkle smiled at him, but there was something wrong with it. "See? There's no need to worry about him. But you should worry about yourself." Noir and Fury stepped to their brother's side, staring down at their parent with sick smiles.

Blue didn't see it coming. He didn't. Fury lunged forward, smile twisting into a snarl as his hands latched onto Blue's throat. They tightened, and bone suddenly snapped, blood gushing out-

Blue shot out of bed with a scream, his hands shooting to grasp at his neck, panic coursing through his body. His breath came out in frantic puffs, shivers racking his bones. Slowly, oh so slowly, his breathing evened out, and a sob finally broke through. A groan to his left had him crying harder.

"Blue?" He shook his head, crying harshly into his hands. The blankets shifted as Dust sat up. "What's wrong?" Dust's hand brushed the top of his skull, and Blue threw himself onto his husband, sobbing into his chest. Dust grunted in surprise, his arms wrapping around the smaller. He sighed quietly, smoothing his hand over the other's skull, softly shushing him.

Blue's nightmares were getting worse. Dust shut his sockets in dismay, knowing what he needed to do. He had to call Nightmare.
