Emma's POV
"They're ready." I say as I watch the jet pull up.
"Alright." Jessie says then we grab our bags and head out into the hangar.
After my wife, Shadow, and I are in the hangar, we hand our bags to the flight crew then the three of us board the plane and head to the bedroom part of the jet.
Once in the bedroom my wife and I sit down on the bed with Shadow and relax until we're up in the air.
"Wanna watch the draw then watch one of the Euro games?" Jessie asks.
"As long as we get some sleep I don't really care what we do." I say as Shadow gets off the bed and lays on her doggie bed we brought onto the plane.
Jessie and I didn't sleep at all last night since we were making love so we haven't slept since yesterday morning.
"Sounds good to me." Jessie says then the two of us change into our sleep clothes.
We normally sleep nude, but since there are other people on the plane we're both wearing crop tops and a boxers.
"How do we get it on the tv?" Jessie asks.
"I got it." I say then I mess around on my laptop for a minute or two until the Challenge Cup Draw is on the tv.
"Here are the Pots." Lisa Baird says then the pots are shown.
Pot 1: Real Miami, Chicago Red Stars, Houston Dash, Washington Spirit, New York Cosmos
Pot 2: North Carolina Courage, OL Reign, Orlando Pride, Sky Blue FC, Las Vegas Outlaws
Pot 3: Portland Thorns, Racing Louisville FC, Angel City FC, Kansas City Renegades, California Storm
Pot 4: Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester City, Lyon, Wolfsburg
The NWSL decided to make the Challenge Cup the Midseason break for the foreseeable future.
They also decided to invite European teams over so for us it'll be basically our pre-season.
"How were the teams seeded?" My wife asks.
"Pot 1 is the five host Cities, Pot 2 and 3 contain the rest of the NWSL teams that were drawn out of a hat to be placed in the pot's and Pot 4 is the European teams." I say as the draw begins
"What are the rules for players?"
"You can bring as many players as you want and you get 6 subs then you can get an extra sub in extra time during the knockout stage." I say. "Also everyone advances to the knockout stage so everyone is guaranteed four games."
"What about the scheduling?" Jessie asks.
"One group plays every day and both teams play that day." I say. "So like if it's our day to play we'd play someone in the morning slot while the other two teams in our group would play in the night slot."
Jessie nods then the two of us watch the draw.
Once the draw is over we look over the five groups.

"Well that's a weird group for us." Jessie says.
"Seriously." I say then I turn on the Netherlands v Belgium Women's Euro round of 16 game.
The group is weird because Miami and Orlando are rivals due to both being in Florida, the fans have made a rivalry out of Orlando and Angel City because Alex left, Miami and Angel City has been made a rivalry because of my comments on the ownership of Angel City, and the owners of Real Miami, Jessie and I, play for Arsenal which is weird
I have nothing against the Ownership of Angel City.
I just think it's bullshit the NWSL allowed almost 100 people to own Angel City when the Royals we're getting fucked over because of that racist, sexist, misogynistic asshole.
Alex and Christen actually told me that some of the Angel City owners don't like me and even tried to get me, Jessie, and Real Miami kicked out of the NWSL.
I sent an e-mail to the Angel City owners who don't like me and told them if they tried to kick me out of the league then I would destroy Angel City, the NWSL, and US Soccer.
Alex, Christen, and Tobin all told me that after I informed those owners who hate me of my plans should they kick me out that they talked to them and asked if I would actually do it and my three friends all said I would.
"I still hate those owners." Jessie says as she cuddles into me. "Well I guess they're former owners now.
The five or six Angel City owners who didn't like my comments had some legal issues so they had to relinquish their stake in Angel City.
"I do too." I say as I wrap my arms around my wife.
"We won't be able to play in the Real Miami game will we?" Jessie questions.
"Probably not." I say.
"So we'll be in the Owner box?"
"Most likely with Ash and Ali yes." I say.
"Ash and Ali?" Jessie questions.
"Vlatko wants the staff to help scout the Challenge Cup so they all split up to take different groups." I say.
"Who's where?"
"Ash and Ali are scouting the Real Miami group, Hope and Freya are scouting the New York group, Vlatko's scouting the Houston group, Becky's scouting the Chicago group, and Kate Markgraf is scouting the Washington group."
Becky was asked to join Vlatko's staff earlier this year after she retired and she accepted.
"Are they just checking on current national team players or scouting for new players?" Jessie asks.
"I think both." I say.
"Who do you think will start up top for you all at the World Cup?"
"Definitely Alex and Christen, but I don't really know about the third forward." I say. "If we play a 4-3-3 then I think it's between Tobin, Sophia, Mal, and Catarina."
"It's actually ridiculous that you have all four of those options." Jessie says and I nod.
"Sleep now?" I ask.
"Yeah Sharky." Jessie says with a smile. "We can sleep now."
"Cool." I say then I roll over and put my head in Jessie's neck. "Night."
"Good night Emma." Jessie says as she plays with my curls. "I'll see you when you wake up."
