Emma's POV
"Hello Everybody." I say as myself, Carli, and Shadow stand in front of the team in a private room in the pro shop of a golf course in Turin, Italy. "And welcome to the American's in Europe Open."
Carli and I were elected to be the runners of the first off day of this camp so we decide to do a golf tournament.
"Before we tell you the teams we're gonna go over the rules."
"So we're gonna be playing a modified version of the best Ball format." Carli says. "Basically you'll all hit a tee shot, choose the best one, you'll all hit another shot from the ball you chose, choose the best one, and so on and so forth until you finish the hole."
"Also if you break one of the rental clubs you buy it." I say.
"What she said." Carli says then she grabs the team sheet and reads off the teams.
Team Pink: Emma Harris, Christen Press, Ali Krieger, Alex Morgan
Team Orange: Sophia Smith, Lindsey Horan, Becky Sauerbrunn, Megan Rapinoe
Team Green: Sam Mewis, Jane Campbell, Kristie Mewis, Abby Dahlkemper
Team Cyan: Carli Lloyd, Tobin Heath, Ashlyn Harris, Crystal Dunn
Team Purple: Mal Pugh, Julie Johnston, Casey Short, Paige Nielsen
Team Red: Sofia Huerta, Kelley O'Hara, Tierna Davidson, Emily Sonnett
Team Yellow: Rose Lavelle, Morgan Brian, Alyssa Naeher, Ashley Sanchez
"We did just use a random wheel app to get the teams so if you don't like your team then take that up with the Spin The Wheel App." I say.
"And we also picked the colors with the wheel app as well." Carli says then we hand out the polo shirts, jackets, and hats to the teams.
"You made personalized clothing?" Kelley asks.
"We've known this is what we were going to do since last November so we had these customized for everyone and we got them from the same outfitter as everyone's boot manufacture." I say as I hand Kelley her personalized stuff.
On the front of the hat and on the left chest area of the jacket and shirt is a logo Carli and I came up with.
On the right side of the hat and on the right chest area of the jacket and shirt is the person's name sewn into the material.
We got jackets on the off chance it's cold and today the high's supposed to be 66 degrees.
Right now, at 10 am, it's 56 degrees outside.
"Did you two design the logo?" Christen asks.
"Emma did." Carli says.
"I had a lot of time on my hands after I got that concussion." I say.
"Well you did good." Tobin says.
"Thanks." I say as I finish passing out the stuff.
Once everyone has their stuff they take off their shirts and put on their new shirts and jackets then they put on their hats.
"I still can't believe you two got us pants and shoes too." Ash says.
When Carli and I contacted everyone's boot manufactures we also got them to send us black golf pants, black golf shorts, and black golf shoes for whomever wear their boots.
"Are we all going off the same side?" Jane asks.
"No." I say. "Team's Pink, Green, and Yellow will start on the front nine while Team's Orange, Cyan, Purple, and Red will start on the back nine."
