Emma's POV
"Christen can you help me with this." I ask and hold out my UCLA head scarf.
During our three month lockdown Jessie figured out I didn't have any headscarves/bonnets so she bought me a bunch.
She got me a Canadian themed head scarf, a UCLA themed head scarf, a USWNT themed head scarf, an Arsenal themed head scarf, and a few others head scarves along with some bonnets.
"Sure Bubba." Christen says then she helps me put my hair into the head scarf/Bonnet.
"Emma what are those called?" Sam asks.
"Head scarves." I say. "Why?"
"Lauren mentioned she needed more so I thought I'd get some for her but I didn't know if that was a head scarf or a bonnet."
"Jessie got these for me so I can have her text you the places she got them from to you."
"That'd be great." Sam says as Christen finishes putting my hair into the head scarf.
"Thanks Chrissy." I say.
"Anytime Bubba."
"Vlatko how will the squad be selected from now on?" Emily asks.
"Since you all have proper games now we will be able to watch you and see your performances against other people so we'll be selecting 23-26 players for each camp." Vlatko says.
"When will we know the Olympic Draw?" Ali asks.
"Before the April friendlies."
"Cool."
"Everyone ready?" I ask as I finish hooking up my computer to the projector in the room
Everyone says yes so I stand up then stand in front of the team and three of the coaches.
"Welcome Ladies and Gentleman to the 2020 United States Women's National Team Fantasy Football Draft."
"WHEW." Everyone says.
"So this year the teams will be the three players on Each club." I say. "For example Julie, Christen, and I are on a team while Tobin, Crystal, and Tierna are on a team and so on and so forth...oh and the fifteenth team is Vlatko, Hope, and Freya."
"You're all going down." Kelley says from the Real Madrid table.
Every team has their own table today to make decisions.
"Has everybody paid the entry fee?" I ask.
"They have." Julie says as she counts the money.
Every year we always require 10 bucks from everyone who plays then the winning team gets to split the money between them.
This year the pot will be 450 bucks.
"Awesome." I say. "So as this year's commissioner I have decided that the schedule this year will be that each team plays every other team over the first 14 weeks of the season then for weeks 15, 16, and 17 the playoffs will happen, but only for the top 8 teams...But the bottom 8 teams will have a playoffs of their own and there may or may not be a prize for winning the losers playoff."
"Prize?" Emily asks.
"You'll have to wait and see."
"Alright." Mal says.
"Now for the draft order." I say. "So like last year, I put every team name into a random list generator and ran it ten thousand times to get the draft line up for this year."
"Wait." Ali says. "How does that work?"
"After the list of team names runs ten thousand times, the program puts each team into an average position."
"Oh." Ali says. "You really are a computer wiz."
"I learned from the best." I say with a smile as I pull up the draft order. "So Here is this year's Draft Order."

"And like always we're doing a snake draft so the coaches will have the last pick in the first round and the first pick in the second round." I say and everyone nods. "A minute and half sound good for each pick?"
Everyone nods so I pull up a timer and the draft board.
"Atlético Madrid you are now on the clock." I say then I sit down with my Arsenal teammates.
"You're a good commissioner." Christen says.
"Thanks." I say.
My teammates and I wait for our first pick then when it's our turn we make our first selection.
"With the 7th pick in the 2020 Draft, Team Arsenal select Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Running back for the Kansas City Chiefs." Julie announces then I put the selection onto the draft board on the computer.
After we make our pick we wait around until our next pick then we make our decision on our second round pick.
"With the 24th pick in the 2020 Draft, Team Arsenal select Mike Evans, Wide Receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers." Julie announces then I put the selection onto the draft board on the computer.
After we make our pick we wait around until our next pick then we make our decision on our third round pick.
"You wanna just get a quarter back now?" I whisper as we look at the options.
Christen and Julie nod then we decided on a quarterback to get then we make our selection.
"With the 37th pick in the 2020 Draft, Team Arsenal select Patrick Mahomes, Quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs." Julie announces then I put the selection onto the draft board on the computer.
"Fuck." Tobin says.
Over the next hour the draft continues with everyone making their picks rather quickly.
"And with that pick." I say after the last pick is made. "The draft is officially over. Good luck everyone."
After I finish completing the draft board I look at the Team Arsenal Roster.

"What the fuck?" Kelley says.
"What?" Alex asks.
"Breaking news from The Athletic." Kelley says. "Emma Harris has submitted a bid to purchase Utah Royals FC."
"WHAT." Everyone yells then they look at me.
"What?" I ask.
"You're trying to buy the Royals?" Christen asks.
"Yes I am." I say. "But I'm not gonna divulge any more details."
"Is that gonna hinder your chances of coming and playing in the NWSL?" Ash asks.
"No." I say. "If I do end up in the NWSL it'll be for the LA team and when we play my team, if my bid is successful, then I'll just sit out those games."
"When will you find out if you own the team?" Becky asks
"Soon." I say "Very very soon."
