Emma's POV
"Hey Emma." Jessie says as she gets in my car.
"Hey Jessie." I say.
"Thanks for the ride." My girlfriend says.
"Of course." I say as I start driving to my Alma Mater.
Today UCLA is having a College ID camp and Jessie and I are going to help our coach with the drills.
When Jessie and I get to the training pitch I park the car then we grab our stuff and head onto the pitch
"EMMA." Ashley Sanchez shouts as she runs at me and Jessie.
When Ashley gets to me she jumps on me so I catch her.
"Well hello to you too." I say.
"I didn't know you were coming to this." Ashley says.
"I was coerced into being here." I say then I look at my girlfriend.
"I don't know what you mean." Jessie innocently says.
"Mhmm." I say then I let Ashley down so we can walk to one of the benches. "Who else is here?"
"The 7 player coaches are You, me, Jessie, Anika, Kaiya, Lucy, and Kennedy." Ashley says as we get to the bench
"I'm the only keeper coach?" I ask as I get ready.
"Apparently." Jessie says as I finish tying my boots.
"Oh good you're all here." Coach Amanda says as I get my gloves out of my bag. "I'm gonna pass out the list of players you'll be coaching then you ladies can go warm up."
Everyone nods then we get a list of our of players so I look mine over.
Once I look over my list I stretch with the field players.
"Hey Emma?" Coach Amanda says.
"Yeah?" I question.
"I want you to speak to the group before we do the positional training."
"Why?" I ask.
"You know what their going through." Coach says. "You know how important this camp is."
"Alright." I say then coach walks away.
"What does she mean?" Jessie asks.
"I came to a camp like this in 2014 and I didn't have any offers." I say. "But after I left I had offers from UCLA, UNC, Stanford, Howard University, Delaware State, Hampton University, Prairie View A&M, Virginia, USC, Florida State, Penn State, Cal, Santa Clara, Texas A&M and Texas."
"You had 15 offers after one camp?" Ashley asks.
"Mhmm."
"Why'd you choose UCLA?" Anika asks.
"Academics and I could live at my home."
"Are other colleges at this camp?" Kaiya asks.
"Not this one, but the one I went to had coach's from around the country."
"So you were on the youth national team and had zero offers?" Ashley asks
"Mhmm." I say. "But the college coaches had only seen me play as a center back for the youth national team and I wasn't good so nobody offered me."
"You were good enough to make the World Cup squad in 2015 as a center back" Jessie says.
"I guess so." I say.
