Emma's POV

"I knew it." I mumble as I watch my father get dragged away in handcuffs.

"You shoulda let me hit him too." Jessie says as she holds onto my arms which are wrapped around her.

Today is Christmas Eve and Jessie and myself just finished our dinner with our kids at our favorite restaurant.

As Jessie and I were walking back to the Apartment, my father tried to kidnap Jessie and I's kids, but I caught up to him and beat the living shit out of him.

I only stopped when the police came.

Luckily Jessie had the bright idea to record on her phone so I didn't get in trouble.

"I think I fucked up my hand." I mumble then Jessie lightly grabs my hands.

"It's not swollen." Jessie says. "But I'll check it out once we get back to the apartment."

I nod then we talk to the police until we're free to leave.

Once we're free to leave, my girlfriend and I push our kids down the street to our apartment while Shadow walks next to me.

After we get to the apartment building we head inside then head up to our floor.

When we get to our floor, my girlfriend and I head to our home where we change ourselves and our kids, we let Shadow out to use the bathroom on the grass area of the terrace, then the five of us head over to the chill room.

"Who's got Alcohol?" I ask as we enter to room.

"What's wrong?" Alex asks.

"My fucking father tried to kidnap our kids." I say.

"Excuse me?" Ash says.

"I knew he'd do it and we saw him coming so I beat the fuck out of him until the cop came." I say.

"He's in jail now." Jessie says then she hands our kids to Crystal and Tierna. "I need to look at Emma's hand so can you two watch the kids."

"Of course." Crystal says then Jessie leads me over to the kitchen area of the chill room.

"I'm sorry." I whisper as Jessie checks out my hand.

"For what?" Jessie asks as she looks up at me.

"I promised to protect you and our kids and I couldn't do that."

"Yes you did." Jessie says. "Was it scary? Of course it was, but we're safe and sound."

"But..."

"Stop." Jessie says. "I'm safe, You're safe, Hazel's safe, Kingsley's safe, Shadow's safe, We're all safe. You protected us and I know you'll protect us again."

Jessie then kisses my heart before she wraps her arms around me.

"I love you Sharky." Jessie says.

"I love you too Freckles." I say then I kiss my girlfriend's head.

Jessie and I hug for a while then Jessie looks up at me.

"You're so pretty." I say then I kiss Jessie's nose.

Jessie cutely scrunches her nose then she pulls me down to her height and kisses me.

"You ready to film that video?" Jessie asks.

I nod then I look at Christen.

"Christen can we film that video now?" I ask.

"Sure Bubba." Christen says so I start setting everything up for Jessie and I's video for British Vogue.

Once everything is set up, my girlfriend and I sit in front of the camera while Christen sits behind the camera with the list of camera's

"Lemme just make sure this is recording." Christen says as she checks the camera then she looks at us. "Ready.

"Yep." My girlfriend and I say.

"First question." Christen reads off a paper. "What are your names?"

"Jessie Fleming."

"Emma Harris."

"How would you describe your ethnicity?"

"Canadian." Jessie says.

"I have no clue." I say. "My Mom was the child of a Nigerian Man and a Ghanaian woman, but she was born in Germany then Adopted in America then my father is from England while I was born in America."

"Have you faced any backlash for your relationship?" Christen questions.

"I had former friends say I'm ruining the black family by being with Jessie." I say. "I told them we're no longer friends so they needed to forget my name and delete my number."

"What about you Jessie?" Christen asks.

"All of my friends love Emma." Jessie says. "They see how much she loves me and our children which is really all they care about."

"What do your Families think of you two dating?" Christen questions.

"My family loves Emma." Jessie says making me smile. "Honestly since the first time they saw me and Emma together in college they all thought we'd end up together."

"All of you are my family and I think all of you love Jessie." I say.

"We do." Alex says causing Jessie and I to smile.

"Are you worried about what your kids will go through?" Christen reads off her paper.

"Very." I admit. "But we can't control how the world views Hazel, Kingsley, or any future children we have."

"All we can control is letting our kids now that we love them and that we'll do everything in our power to make sure their safe." Jessie says then Shadow comes running over and paws my foot.

"What's that?" Ali asks and points to Shadow.

"Shit." Jessie says then she gets out of her chair and stands in-between my legs.

Jessie then grabs my arms and wraps them around her while I rest my head against her abs.

"Breathe Emma." Jessie says as Shadow squirms her way onto my lap. "Breathe for me."

"Breathe Bubba." Christen whispers from the seat next to me. "Breathe in for 4, hold for 7, then out for 8."

I do Christen's breathing technique for a minute then I sniffle a bit as tears start to fall from my eyes.

"It's okay." Jessie whispers as she plays with my curly hair. "You're safe Emma."

"We almost lost the kids." I say into Jessie's abs then I notice Christen move away.

"Oh Emma." Jessie whispers then she unwraps my arms from around me.

After my arms are no longer around Jessie, my girlfriend squats down then she cups my face.

"We're all safe and sound." Jessie whispers as she wipes the tears from my eyes. "They can't hurt you, me, our babies, Shadow, or anybody else."

"I don't wanna lose you." I mumble. "I can't lose you."

"I'm not going anywhere." Jessie says. "And neither are our children."

"Promise?"

"I Promise Sharky." Jessie says then she softly kisses me. "We'll be here forever."
