Emma's POV

"Mama?" Hazel asks from my lap.

"You're playing too Mama." Hazel says.

"I am baby." I say.

"Oh." Kingsley says as we pull up to the stadium. "We're here."

"Let's go babies." I say then my service dog, my kids, and I get off the bus.

After the bus stops everyone grabs their bags then we get off the bus, head inside BMO Field, and head to the locker room.

When I get to my locker I take my AirPods out, take out my nose ring, take off my necklaces and my rings, then I put my jewelry and AirPods in my bag.

Once I'm jewelry free I put on my short sleeve baby blue undershirt, my warm up top, then I put on my game shorts. I then sit down in my locker, put my long long curly brown hair up in a ponytail, put on my socks and put on my black and gold boots.

After my boots are on I tape my wrists, hands, and fingers then I put on my black and white keeper gloves before I head onto the field with the other keepers and my kids.

When I get on the pitch I carry my kids over to the Canadian friends and family area.

"MIMI." Hazel shouts when she sees Jessie's Mom.

"PAWPAW." Kingsley shouts when he sees Jessie's Dad.

Mimi and PawPaw are the kids' name for Jessie's parents.

"There's my favorite grand babies." Jessie's Mom says.

"Mom they're you're only grand kids." Tristan, Jessie's brother, says.

"So my statement is correct." Jessie's Mom says as I hand the kids to her and her husband.

"See you after the game." I say.

"Bye Mama." The kids say in unison.

I kiss my kids' head then I head onto the field and run through my warm ups with the keepers for a while before we head back to the locker room.

Once in the locker room I change out of the training top, put on a long sleeve undershirt since it's snowing then I change into my baby blue keeper jersey while the coaches do their last minute talks.

After the last minute talks are over we are told to head to the tunnel so I grab my towel and water bottle then I head to the front of the line in the tunnel.

As we're waiting to head out, I notice my wife stand next to me as well as a camera fixating on us.

Neither Jessie nor myself make any move to greet each other so I know this is going to get talked about later.

Jessie and I aren't in a fight.

We're just both focused on winning tonight's game.

Minutes later we are told to head out onto the field for the prematch stuff so I lead our team out onto the field.

Once on the field we stand in a line and stand in silence for the Canadian anthem.

When our anthem starts, myself, Sam, and a few more ladies all take a knee.

After our anthem plays we shake hands with the refs and the Canadian team then I do the coin toss with the Jessie.

Once the coin toss is done with I head to our bench and do our team huddle.

After our team huddle I lead Shadow to the sideline.

"Stay here Shadow." I say then Shadow barks and licks my face.

I smile at my Service dog and pet her head then I grab my towel and my water bottle and head to my goal.

Once I'm at my goal I hang my towel on the net, put my water bottle outside the net, then I stand in my goal and take a deep breath as the game kicks off.

"Fuck this is gonna be a long game."

"Come on." I mumble as I watch the clock tick towards full time. "Hurry the fuck up."

We're winning 1-0, but honestly I couldn't give a fuck.

I just want the game to be over so I can have a good cry.

"Fucking finally." I say when the whistle blows

After the full time whistle blows I grab my towel, sit on the ground, put my towel over my face, then let all of my emotions out.

Today would've been the day Jessie and I's baby would have been born.

"SHADOW COME." I hear my wife shout then I feel someone sit in my lap and pull my head onto their shoulder. "Let it out baby."

"Why us?" I ask as I wrap my arms around my wife.

"I don't know baby." Jessie says as she plays with my hair. "Good girl Shadow."

"Shadow?" I mumble.

"Shadow's here Sharky." Jessie says then she puts my hand on Shadow's body as I start to really get emotional.

"It's my fucking fault." I say in-between sobs.

"No it is not." Jessie says. "Don't you ever think it was your fault."

Jessie then grabs my towel and wipes away my tears.

"You heard what the doctor said." Jessie says. "Its not my fault, it's not your fault, it's not anybodies fault."

"I wanted..."

"I know baby." Jessie says. "I did too."

"I'm gonna have to explain to girls." I say as I notice both national teams looking at my wife and I.

"We don't have to explain shit." Jessie says. "It's our life and we can do whatever the fuck we want."

"MAMA." I hear the twins yell making me smile.

A few seconds later the twins crash into their Mommy and I which sends all of us down to the ground.

"Sad Mama?" Kingsley asks.

"Yeah baby." I say. "Mama's sad."
