Emma's POV

"We're here Emma." Ali says as our bus pulls up outside the venue for today's knockout round match

We won all three of our group games easily and now were playing Spain in the Round of 16 at the Stade Auguste-Delaune in Reims.

If we win we play France in Paris.

"Alrighty." I say.

Once the bus stops I follow Ali off it then I follow her to the locker room.

When I walk into the locker room I I take my AirPods out, take out my nose ring, take off my necklaces and my rings, then I put my jewelry and AirPods in my bag.

Once I'm jewelry free I put on my short sleeve teal undershirt, my warm up top, then I put on my game shorts. I then sit down in my locker, put my long long curly brown hair up in a ponytail, put on my socks and put on my black and gold boots.

After my boots are on I tape my wrists, hands, and fingers then I put on my black and white keeper gloves before I head onto the field with the other keepers.

When I get on the pitch I run through my warm ups with the keepers for a while then head back to the locker room

"Emma I wanna make a bet with you." Ash says as we walk back to the locker room.

"Okay?" I say.

"If we win the game today then you have to stop fucking everything with boobs and let me set you up on a date."

"First off I take offense to that." I say. "I do have standards."

"And what's your second point?" Ash asks.

"Deal." I say then we shake on it before we head to the locker room.

Why not let Ash set me up on a date?

I'm getting really tired of only having one night stands so what's there to lose?

Once in the locker room I change out of the training top and change into my green keeper jersey while the coaches do their last minute talks.

After the last minute talks are over we are told to head to the tunnel so I grab my towel then I head to the subs bench with Ash.

A minute later the teams come out for the anthems so we do all the prematch shit then I sit down in-between Christen and Ash and watch the game.

90 long minutes later we win the game 2-1.

Pinoe scored two penalties for us while Spain scored off a mistake by Alyssa and Becky.

"So..." I say as I look at Ash. "Who's my date?"

"So how do I look?" I ask as I walk into the bedroom of Ash and I's hotel room in Paris.

Once I get into the bedroom part of Ash and I's room I look at the six people in the room.

In Ash and I's room is Ash, Ali, Alex, Christen, Tobin, and Hope.

"Beautiful." Ali says. "I really like the outfit we picked out for you."

We landed in Paris earlier today and after we got settled in we were free for the day so Ali, Ash, Tobin, Alex, Christen, and Hope took me shopping for an outfit for my date tonight.

The four ladies picked out a dark red polo for me to wear, black skinny jeans, and a new pair of shoes for my date.

Ali also helped me choose some perfume since I left mine at home.

I wasn't expecting to go on a date during the World Cup

"You ladies did good." Ash says then she un buttons one of the buttons on my polo. "But show the twins off a little."

"Is my date my crush?" I ask as Ash styles my polo.

"Yep." Ash says.

"She's not dating anyone anymore?" I ask.

"She's single as a Pringle." My cousin says.

"Fuck yes." I mumble.

"No sex tonight Emma." Alex says as I put on my rings and necklaces. "Just a date."

"I know." I say and roll my eyes. "I'm not stupid."

"We know." Christen says then she hugs me. "We both know how blunt Alex can be."

"I know." I mumble.

"She'll probably text you later and apologize." Tobin says.

I nod then I hug the other ladies before I grab my phone and wallet.

"These are your directions for the cabbie and money for the cab." Ash says hands me directions. "When you get there tell the hostess my name."

"Okay." I say then I walk out of the room.

"And Emma." Ash says right before I leave the room.

"Yeah?"

"Have fun."

I smile and nod then I leave the room.

"So who's Emma's Crush?" I hear Alex ask then the door shuts.

After the door shuts I take a deep breath then I head down stairs, get in a cab, and head to the destination Ash told me to go to.

When I get to the destination I give the cabbie the money Ash gave me then I get out of the cab and head into the restaurant.

Once in the restaurant I give the hostess Ash's name then she leads me to an empty table so I sit down and wait.

A minute later the hostess returns with the most beautiful women in the world

"Jessie?" I ask as the hostess leaves

"Hey Emma." Jessie Fleming says with a smile as I get out of the booth.

"What are you still doing here?" I ask as I hug my favorite teammate from UCLA

"It looks like your cousin and Shelina set us up on a date." Jessie says.

"So you are my date?" I ask with a smile.

"Mhmm." Jessie confirms with a soft smile.

"Awesome." I say as I look into Jessie's eyes. "Shall we sit down?"

Jessie nods then we sit down across from each other in our booth and look over our menu's.

Moments later our waiter comes over and takes our order then he disappears for a few seconds before coming back with our drinks.

Once Jessie and I have our drinks the waiter leaves then Jessie and I start talking.

A few minutes before I assume our food will be ready, Jessie heads to the bathroom so I think about everything that's happening right now.

I'm on a date with my crush.

Holy shit.
