Emma's POV

"Thanks for letting me on the sideline today." I say as Alex Scott and I head to the away dugout in Stamford Bridge.

Today, May 1st, is the Semi-final of the Women's FA Cup and we're playing Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

"Of course." Alex says. "I mean without you who would I talk too?"

Last weekend we played Man City in a title decider game and the refs were seriously fucking us over so all of Alex's assistant coach's got pissed then the ref gave them all red cards.

We won the game and blocked City from winning the title against us so who cares.

"You probably be very lonely." I say

"Where's Hazel and Kingsley?" Alex asks.

"With the team babysitters." I say as the team come out of the tunnel to warm up.

"How are you two?" Alex asks as I watch Jessie run to warm up.

"We're doing better." I admit as I stroke Shadow's head. "Still coming to grips with the fact that our family's going to remain at four, but we're getting there."

After our Bachelorette party we found out Jessie was pregnant and my fiancée and I were over the moon.

A couple weeks ago Jessie and I were on a date and Jessie felt bad so we went to the nearest hospital and long story short Jessie had a miscarriage.

The doctor said it was neither of our faults and that in the future she had no worries for us to have kids.

Despite what the doctor says I still feel like a failure.

Jessie's miscarriage is why I did that live stream thingy a few days ago.

"Is Jessie seriously okay to play?" Alex asks.

"Yeah." I say. "After what happened to me last year when I didn't tell anybody she's never gonna play if she shouldn't."

"Good." Alex says.

Alex, Jessie and I's family, and Christine Sinclair are the only people who know about the miscarriage.

We obviously had to tell our families about the miscarriage since we told them a few weeks after we found out Jessie was pregnant, but we had to tell Alex and Christine because they're Jessie's coach's.

"So what do you think of the Chelsea line-up?" Alex asks.

For the remainder of time the teams warm up, Alex and I talk tactics of the game.

Once the warmups are done we head inside with the team then I sit in my locker while Alex does her team talk.

After the team talks are done I kiss my soon to be wife, tell her I love her, then Shadow and I head to the bench.

Once at the bench I sit down next to Alex's seat then Shadow sits between my legs.

"Aww." Katie says from the seat next to me.

Katie's shoulder is hurt so she's on the bench in case of emergency.

"What?" I ask.

"Shadow has Jessie's jersey on."

"She's gotta support her Mommy." I say as the game kicks off.

"How do you think Lydia will do?" Katie asks after Alex gets up from the bench

"Do you want my honest answer or my Media trained answer?" I question.

"Honest answer."

"With her in goal I think we'll be lucky to get to the final." I say.

Lydia's been the main keeper this year and she hasn't been that great.

She's let in way to many easy goals and we're gonna be lucky if we get 3rd place in the standings.

I'm pretty sure Alex is gonna sell her in the summer.

"Fuck." Katie says as we watch Sam Kerr shoot towards goal.

"See." I say when Lydia bobbles an easy save.

For the next 40 minutes I focus on the game and periodically talk tactics with Alex.

"Please tell me you're getting a new back up keeper?" I ask after I've had enough of Lydia's mistake.

"I am." Alex says as Lydia deflects an easy shot instead of catching it.

Moments later Pernille buries the ball in the back of the net.

"LYDIA." I shout. "CATCH THE FUCKING BALL."

"Easy." Alex says.

"Shoulda caught the ball." I mumble.

We better not lose because of Lydia.

Otherwise I'm gonna be fucking pissed.

Jessie's POV

"THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN YOU WONT CLEAR ME?" My future wife shouts as we stand in the medical department at the Arsenal training center.

We won yesterday 3-1 so we're going to the FA Cup final.

Today, however, we're seeing if the doctors will clear Emma to play.

She's been training since after the April friendlies and she's been training for the marathon since last November, so she's in great shape.

"CLEAR ME YOU FUCKING CUNT." Emma shouts then she storms out of the room with Shadow following close behind.

"Jessie." The team doctor says.

"This is on you." I say. "Every other doctor has cleared her to return to playing except you so you need to get your shit together."

"JESSIE YOU NEED TO COME HERE." My sister shouts so I quickly make my way out of the doctors office and to my sister. "You're fiancée is now sprinting up and down the practice fields.

"Fuck." I mumble then Elysse and I run towards the practice field Emma is sprinting on.

When we get to the practice field Shadow looks up at me so I scratch her head.

"She's fine girl." I say.

"What's going on?" Viv asks as the whole team huddle around and watch Emma running.

"Emma's heart doctors said Emma's cleared to return to playing, but the Arsenal doctors won't clear her." I say.

"Why?" Jordan asks

"He think the first shot she blocks with her chest will cause her to die?"

"Will it?"

"Of course not." I say. "The Arsenal doctor's just a dumbass."

"Well you're not wrong." Daan mumbles.

The doctor who won't clear Emma also kept Daan out for a month because of a Charlie horse.

He's a fucking dumbass.

"HEY" Emma shouts from the near goal which gets everyone's attention. "ONE OF YOU COME FUCKING SHOOT ON ME."

"Umm." Jordan says as everyone looks.

"Shoot." I say. "And shoot as hard as you can."

The team shrug then they all grab footballs and start shooting on Emma.

Emma saves almost every shot and she looks like she did pre-transplant.

She also looks really fucking sexy with all the sweat dripping down her...

"What the hell is going on?" Alex asks as she and the team medical come running.

"I'm fucking playing football again." My future wife says as she looks at the doctor who refused to clear her. "So either clear me to play in goal for Arsenal or I'll find a club who will."
