Emma's POV

"We almost there Mommy?" Hazel asks from her car seat

"A couple minutes baby." Jessie says as I follow the directions to the house we'll be staying at while here in Canada.

Jessie, the twins, and I are in Canada to spend Christmas with her family.

This'll be the second time I've spent time with Jessie's family in Canada.

The first time was after our honeymoon when we spent a few days in Jessie's childhood home before the Challenge Cup.

"You two excited to see Mimi and PawPaw?" I ask as I turn onto some street

"YEAH." The kids shout.

"Inside voice munchkins." Jessie says.

"Sorry Mommy." The kids whisper.

"And we're here." I say as I pull into the house we're staying in for Christmas.

We're not staying at Jessie's home for Christmas because they always stay at Jessie's grandparents place out in the country.

Once we come to a stop all of us get out of the car then my wife and I start unloading the car as Jessie's family come out to greet us.

"MIMI." Hazel shouts when she sees Jessie's Mom.

"PAWPAW." Kingsley shouts when he sees Jessie's Dad then the twins run to their grandparents.

"Got everything?" I ask as I shut the trunk.

"Yep." Jessie says then the two of us wheel our families suitcases towards everyone.

When we get to Jessie's family we hug them then we head inside and put our stuff away in the two rooms we're using.

Jessie and I are sleeping in our own room while our kids sleep across the hall from us.

Once everyone's stuff is put away, my kids and I sit on the living room floor and play with their toys as Shadow watches over us.

My kids and I play with their Lincoln Logs for a while until our favorite Canadian calls for us.

"Emma." I hear my wife call so I pick up the kids.

"Let's go see what Mommy wants." I say then I carry my kids towards the sound of their Mommy's voice as Shadow walks in front of us.

"Yes Freckles?" I ask as I walk into the kitchen.

"I wanna try something with you." Jessie says then she takes the kids from me.

"Okay?" I say then Jessie hands me a towel.

After I have the towel Jessie positions my hands so that I'm holding both ends of the towel then she puts my hands close to the kitchen faucet before she turns the water on.

"I'm confused." I say.

"Try to get the towel out from behind the water without letting go of the towel or getting it wet." Jessie says. "If you do it then you can choose what we have for dinner."

"So the towel can't get wet?" I ask and Jessie nods. "Well that's easy."

I smile at my wife then I pass my right wrist through the water so only my arm gets wet.

"Done." I say then I toss the towel over Jessie's face. "Thai food sounds good."

"You're too smart." Jessie says as I take our kids from her.

"Food Mama?" Kingsley asks.

"Yeah baby." I say then Jessie shows us a menu for their local Thai place.

Once everyone decides what they want, Jessie calls in our order then 30 minutes later she, her mom, and her grandma go pick it up.

While Jessie is gone I change myself and the kids out of our flying clothes and into some comfy clothes.

Once we're all dressed I grab my phone and iPad then I carry the kids out to the living room.

"Much better." I mumble as we sit down on a couch.

"Scooby?" Kingsley asks.

"Sure." I say then I put Scooby-Doo on on the iPad.

The kids watch their favorite cartoon show while I talk with Jessie's dad and Jessie's Granddad about random shit.

"DINNER'S HERE." Jessie's Mom shouts.

I lock the iPad then my kids and I head into the kitchen.

"Hi Mommy." Hazel says as she and her brother hug Jessie's legs.

"Hi babies." Jessie says with a smile then she hands them their small boxes of food.

"Come on Munchkins." Jessie's dad as he and his wife grab the twins hands. "You two can eat with me and Mimi."

My wife and I watch our kids walk away with their grandparents then we grab our food and head to the living room.

Once in the living room we sit on the couch then I unlock my iPad and put on the game I wanna watch.

"Do you wanna put the game on the tv?" Jessie asks as I take a bite of my beef pad Thai.

"I'm fine." I mumble as I look at my iPad. "Don't wanna intrude."

"What game's on?" Jessie's Dad asks.

"The high school Emma started earlier this year is in the Florida High School football State championship game." Jessie says.

"In their first year?" Tristan asks and I nod.

"Well there's nothing really on tv right now." Jessie's grandpa says. "So how bout we watch your boys kick the crap outta whoever they're playing."

I smile at the elderly man then I link up my iPad to the tv so we can watch it on the big screen.

"So who we rooting for?" Jessie's grandma asks.

"The green and gold team." Jessie says. "The Marshall High School Bruins."

"And the navy team?"

"They're the team from St. Thomas Aquinas." I say. "They won the last three state titles and they've won 9 State titles in the last 13 years."

"Geez." One of Jessie's uncle's says.

"How are the school's going by the way?" Jessie's Dad asks.

"They're going great." I say. "We've had no major disciplinary issue's and the kids have the best grades at every level out of the whole city."

"Wow." Jessie's Mom says.

"That's got to be a good feeling." Elysse says.

"It is." I say. "But most of that is down to the staff at the schools."

"You had a large part in that too Sharky." Jessie says. "You're the one who had the idea for those schools."

"GO BOOINS." Hazel and Kingsley shout as St. Thomas Aquinas kick off.

"Come on boys." I whisper. "Please win."
