I was sleeping in the next morning when Hermione aggressively woke me up. "We need you." I groaned sitting up and picking out a quick outfit. I found the sweater Cedric gave me for Christmas and a pair of jeans. "Hurry." Hermione rushed me. I followed her down to the entrance way. "I gathered some people to meet us in Hogsmeade. If umbridge isn't going to help us, we're going to teach ourselves." I smiled at Harry and Ron when they came up to us, and the three of us let Hermione lead us to a run down shack.
"What exactly is your plan here?" I asked sitting down beside Harry. She shrugged, "Harry is my plan." I watched as about twenty people filed in, sitting in front of us. Hermione stood up, "hello.. I'm sure you know why we're all gathered here." One boy spoke up, "how do you know he's back." I bit my lip staring at the boy. "Maybe if you could tell us more about Cedric's death... you know how he died." I shook my head, "his death is none of your business, now you're either here to learn how to defend yourselves. Or you're out. My boyfr.. Cedric has nothing to do with this. And don't say his name again." Ron put his hand on my shoulder which I shook off aggressively. "Come get me when you're ready to start this thing. Until then leave me the hell out of it." I left the place walking by myself back to Hogwarts.
I had made it halfway there taking a shortcut through the forest. It was quiet, it felt almost too quiet. It felt like someone or something was following me. But every time I turned around there was nothing there. Eventually it was getting to real I knew there had to be something there. "Hello." I called out. "Is someone there?" I turned back around about to take another step when a large snake lunged at me, it continued attacking until I had collapsed down playing dead. It was extremely painful but I couldn't react, I wanted whatever that thing was gone. I let tears flow down quietly and steadily, eventually letting myself go.
I opened my eyes to see Cedric laying down on the ground of the cemetery. "Ced." I knelt down beside him shaking him aggressively. His eyes opened and he smiled sitting up. He reached out his hand and I pulled him up quickly. "Ready love?" I looked at him confused but nodded anyway. "Cedric what's going on?" I asked. He laughed shaking his head. "Be a little adventurous would you?" I rolled my eyes running beside him. We stopped at a lake, but it was new and unfamiliar. He put his hand over my eyes and I felt him turning me around. "Look, beautiful." Before me stood a stone house identical to the one we had planned out together. "What is this place?" He nudged me, "you really don't remember?" I smirked, "this is our home isn't it?" He nodded pulling me along to the edge of the lake where I saw a handcrafted canoe. "Cedric? You made this?" He helped me in, "well of course I did love." I leaned back into his lap allowing him to paddle us around the lake. "Wow this is just amazing." He took us all around the lake, and let me sit back and enjoy the view. I saw him paddling towards the shore, "do we really have to stop?" He smiled giving me his hand pulling me out. "We're not done yet." I followed him to a large oak tree where a treehouse was crafted into it. I stopped when I heard laughter. A young boy and girl were hanging off of it, playing together. "Kids, come give mommy a hug." I narrowed my eyes confused. "Elise, Isaac come on, last one down has to help with dishes." I stood there shocked as the two raced each other down the tree.
The girl who looked identical to me, except for the eyes hugged me first. "You're beautiful." I whispered kneeling down to hug her tighter. I felt another impact as the boy wrapped his arms around me. "And you're impeccably handsome young man."
I looked up at Cedric sadly. "This isn't real is it?" He shook his head no sadly, and I watched as the two children faded away. "I'm going to die?" He sighed holding out his hand. "I don't want to leave. This is real. Right? This has to be real." He hugged me tightly, "you need to go back." I squeezed my eyes shut trying to stop my tears.
"You should go back darling. Harry needs you." I opened them again to see a couple who I recognized immediately. "I know you." I whispered. The man laughed as I stepped back shocked, it was almost an exact replicate of Harry. "We're Harry's parents." I nodded slowly. "So I am dead?" Cedric shook his head putting his arm around me. "No darling, you're hurt." Lily, squeezed my hand, "listen sweetheart I know you feel you don't have reason to go back." I shook my head, "if you know that then you all know what I've been through with my family, with losing you Cedric." James held up his hand, "Sirius and Remus consider you their family. And Cedric is okay now. But you still have a chance, be with Harry, be with Remus and Sirius they need you." I shook my head, "dying? Does it hurt?" The couple shook their heads, "we will tell you that another time when you're truly dying." I turned to face Cedric, "I miss you a lot." He nodded kissing my forehead, "no love, I miss you a lot. Now go back, you can do this." I pulled away staring at them, and the house. "I want this to be real." Cedric shook his head, "not now. It's not real right now." I closed my eyes sadly, "it could be, I want it to be."
