"Harry, can I speak to you?" I asked. He nodded looking slightly nervous. I led him upstairs to the room where I found a pensive. "I need that memory." He stared at me confused, "are you sure you want this Alyssa?" I nodded, "certain Harry. I deserve to know, don't you think?" He sighed, "we can't tell anyone." I held up his wand, "yes Harry I know. We have to move quick."
He did as I instructed pulling out the memory and i took a deep breath before putting myself into it. Harry and Cedric were together, Cedric was laying on the ground tangled in vines that were holding him down. Seeing the panic on his face broke my heart, "Harry do something." I screamed. "Help him." Harry stopped turning back to look at Ced struggle. I heard Ced call out for help. "Come on help him." I whispered. I sighed, relieved as Harry cursed the vines off of Cedric.
"I thought you were gonna let them get me. You'd have to tell Alyssa vines killed me." Harry scoffed, "some game." Cedric said the same, and the walls began to cave in. "Go." Cedric yelled. I ran with them stopping infront of the cup. "Go on take it." Cedric told Harry. Harry shook his head, "no together." I tried to push Cedric back tears were streaming down my face, "NO CEDRIC. Don't grab it. Please." I had forgotten it was a memory, and sobbed as I felt myself being sucked in through a port key.
When I looked up we were in the graveyard, I knew this is where it happened. It was dark and no one was here. Harry looked around nervously, "I've been here before." Cedric was too busy examining the cup, "it's a portkey Harry." I started to scream in frustration, "CEDRIC YOU IDIOT GRAB THE CUP, YOU CANT STAY HERE."
My heart stopped when I saw Peter step out. "Get back to the cup Cedric." Harry yelled. A cauldron lit up, and Cedric pulled out his wand, "who are you, what do you want?" I heard a raspy voice, "kill the spare." Peter carelessly lifted his wand, "Avada Kedavra." I tried to jump infront of the spell falling to my knees when I saw it went straight through me. "GET ME OUT." I shrieked. When I looked back up, I saw several death eaters including my father, he looked at Cedric's body on the ground immediately looking away. "I WANT OUT." I was sobbing hysterically, "I HATE YOU PETER, IM GOING TO
KILL YOU. DO YOU HEAR ME, WHY DID YOU KILL HIM. HE WAS INNOCENT. I NEEDED HIM."When I opened my eyes again I saw I was back at Sirius', and a very angry looking Remus and Sirius were standing over me. "What the hell were you thinking?" Sirius spat. I looked over at Harry, but I couldn't form any words. "It's my fault, I shouldn't have given her the memory, I knew it was a bad idea." They both nodded, "no it wasn't wise Harry, but what's done is done." Remus assured him.
I pushed the pensive away, "I had to know." Sirius stared me down, "no you didn't. I heard your screams from our bedroom, it sounded like you were being tortured." I scoffed, "I know what that is like, and I can tell you this was much worse you inconsiderate...." Remus raised his hand, "Harry why don't you wait downstairs."
I sat back against the wall wiping my tears. "I know why you hate me. And you're pathetic." I spat at Sirius. He shook his head, "I don't hate you." I rolled my eyes, "no.. you do. I'm just like you, and you hate yourself." He gave Remus a confused glance. I tried to stop my tears, "the second you found out it was Peter who killed Cedric, you changed. You're mad at me because I blame myself, just like you do. For Lily and James, and now Cedric."Remus sighed, "how could you blame yourself?" I cried, "ask Sirius, he seems to feel the same." Sirius sat down beside, "no dear, the way I've been acting is not because I blame you. It's because I failed you." I bit my lip, "how did you fail me?" Remus sat down on the other side. "Because I didn't kill Peter when I had the chance, you're right I failed Harry's parents, and now I failed you." I looked at him, "I would never blame you Sirius, I know exactly who's fault it is." Remus put his arm around the both of us, "you both have no reason to think it's your fault." I nodded leaning onto him. "I wish I just listened to you guys, I didn't want to watch him die, I didn't want to see my father standing there, I want it all gone." Sirius squeezed my hand, "I know sweetheart."
My eyes were still pooling with tears, "how could they kill him so carelessly?" Remus leaned his head against mine, "no one good can understand. And I'm sorry you had to see that." I sniffled trying to calm down, I could slowly feel my sadness being replaced with a desire for revenge. "I'll make you one promise Alyssa." Sirius proposed. I looked up, "to never be angry with me again?" He shook his head, "I can't promise that one, but I will promise you if I ever see Peter again, he will die." I nodded, "thank you Sirius." He smiled, "I do love you, disowned." I squeezed his hand, "I love you too. Even you Remus, as bossy as you are." He nudged me, "someone's gotta keep you in line." I stayed there not wanting to move for what seemed like a long time, until we heard Molly calling us down.
