Chapter 8

Cedric stood waiting for me in the great hall. "And there she is." I smiled giving him a quick hug. "And there he is," I teased. "You look beautiful." He held my hand and we began walking outside, sitting down in-front of the black lake. "It's so pretty." I said smiling out at the lake. He nodded, "this is my favourite spot in all of Hogwarts." He pulled me into his shoulder and I happily leaned onto it. "Here," Cedric passed me a tiny chocolate. I popped it into my mouth, "thank you." He shrugged, "so where do you see yourself in the future." I laughed, "I don't care as long as I'm happy. Like truly happy." He kissed my forehead, "you will be." I took another chocolate scoffing, "ya I'll believe that when I see it." Cedric laughed, "well I am going to make today one of your best days alive." He stood up pulling me with him. "We've got a big day ahead of us." I laughed following him up into the astronomy tower, we made a quick stop in the kitchen to pack a bag of lunch. When we finally made it up the tower, I stood in awe at the top looking over the Hogwarts grounds. "Hungry?" I turned around to see Cedric standing behind me holding a sandwich.

"Thank you," I took the sandwich biting into it. He nodded, "its good isn't it." He passed me a bottle of pumpkin juice and I stole a piece of crackling gum. "You like the lake the best? Even over this view?" I asked him. Cedric nodded, "I like the water. But right now I think you're the prettiest view at Hogwarts." I smiled, as he wrapped his arms around my waist, I leaned in slowly kissing him. We stayed like that for almost ten minutes before I finally stepped back. "This definitely was one of my favourite days Cedric." He smiled, "I'm glad Alyssa. I'll walk you back yes?" I accepted his hand nodding, "thank you kind sir." When we got to the common room Cedric kissed me one last time. "I'll see you later?" I waved goodbye, going into the Griffindor portrait hole.

Fred and George sat on the couch playing some sort of game. "There she is." George smiled patting the spot on the couch beside me. I jumped over the couch landing on Fred. "Blimey Alyssa." He said pushing me off. "So tell us how was your date?" I laughed, "it was absolutely perfect." I sat up, "why didn't you guys go to Hogsmeade?" George rolled his eyes, "not aloud, apparently we did not represent Hogwarts well last trip." I smiled, "I see. Want to play a round of chess?" Fred sat up setting the game board up. "Get ready to lose kid." I rolled my eyes, "I'm only two years younger then you, and we all know who is more mature Fred." George gasped hurt, "I hope you're not talking about my poor brother here." I smiled moving my chess piece, "I think it was directed at both of you." Fred and George exchanged looks then stood up. I jumped back starting to run, they both chased me and I was eventually cornered. I was screaming and laughing trying to get away. Ron Hermione and Harry all joined in watching, but none of them seemed to want to help. Fred tackled me down and George placed a tickling charm on me. "Make it stop." I cried. "Please." They we're all bent over laughing and I was rolling all over the ground. "HERMIONE." I shouted she eventually stood up helping me making me run as far away from the twins as I could get. "Still think you're more mature then us Alyssa?" Fred asking coming closer to me. "No no I do not leave me alone." Ron stood in front of me, "take your chance Lyss." I bolted up to my dorm Hermione followed quickly behind. "Soo tell me about your date?" I smiled, "it was really cute actually, he took me to these different places around the castle... and we kissed." She opened her mouth smiling, "you kissed Cedric Alyssa?" I nodded, "sure did." Hermione grabbed my hand excitedly, "that's amazing!" I laughed climbing into my bed. "I'm so tired Mione." She nodded switching off the lights, "me too, all these classes have got me exhausted." I gave her a small smile, "you'll do great don't worry." She lay back, and I rolled over falling asleep quickly.

Screams made me jolt awake in the middle of the night I pulled a hoodie on and ran out into the common room. "What's going on?" I asked Harry. He nodded at Ron who was talking to Professor McGonagall. "Sirius Black. He was in our dorm." I sighed wrapping my arms around Harry. "I'm really sorry Harry." He shrugged, "Lyss, he's trying to kill me." I nodded, leaning on his shoulder, "he'll have to get through me first."
