After the sorting ceremony Draco pulled me aside. "I'm guessing you know about Black." I nodded, "I'm aware." He looked down, "just be careful, here's your Hogsmeade form, Father sent it to me." I took it from him, and as I was about to walk away he stopped me, "I'll see ya around." I gave him a small smile, "I guess so."

The next morning I was woken up by Hermione, "you're gonna miss breakfast Alyssa." Slowly I sat up looking at myself in the mirror, I threw my hair into a bun for now and put on my robes. "You ready?" I asked her. She nodded leading the way. We met Harry and Ron in the common room, Fred and George were there too. "There's our Alyssa." I smiled giving them each a hug. "So tell us how was your summer at the miserable mansion?" I laughed, "miserable." They held the door open for all of us, "well good thing your back with us." I agreed. My first lesson was defence against the dark arts, the four of us made our way to Professor Lupins classroom, and I sat beside Harry. "What do you think he'll be like?" He asked. I shrugged, "we'll find out." Harry nodded, "I guess so."

Lupin walked into the room, "no need for textbooks today, I'm afraid, grab your wands." I smiled at Harry, "I've got a good feeling about him already." We went into the staff room where there was a boggart, a creature that took the shape of your worst fear. Neville went first, and professor Snape walked out. Most of the class burst out laughing, I stood back, now a little worried about what my worst fear would be. Lupin told us to form a line, I went straight to the back hoping I could blend in. Draco came and stood beside me. "You don't want to try?" He asked. I shook my head watching Ron fight a spider. "You shouldn't either, what if something about Father comes up. He could lose his job." Draco nodded, "why do you care what happens to him, he is awful to you." I bit my lip, "could you imagine what would happen if he found out I was the reason the school or ministry was questioning him." Draco sighed, "I'm sorry Alyssa." Professor Lupin searched the crowd, "Alyssa why don't you come to the front." I gulped, Draco gave my hand a reassuring squeeze, slowly I made my way to the front avoiding eye contact.

My father stood in front of me. "YOU YOUR THE REASON. YOU RUINED EVRYHING FOR US WITH THE LORD." He raised his wand, and casted out  the CRUCIO curse, one of the unforgivable ones. You mean nothing to me, I pray he kills you, in the most painful and unimaginable...."

"Ridiculous," I heard Lupin shout. I could feel myself shaking but I forced myself to the back of the line. I just exposed my father one of the things I feared most. "Hey... hey are you okay?" Ron asked trying to grab my attention. Harry was up now and I couldn't focus. Draco swiftly made his was over to me, "get lost Weasley." I scoffed, "Draco shut up. If our father finds out he will murder me." Draco sighed, "I don't think anyone else really understood, the only person who you should be worried about is Lupin." I nodded slowly, "I shouldn't have done it, I should've just said I was sick. I wasn't thinking." Ron pulled me into his side, "it's not your fault Alyssa."

I didn't go to anymore classes the rest of the day, I lied and said my stomach was hurting. But in all honestly that wasn't too much of a lie, I was terrified. After all classes were over, I decided I needed to do something I couldn't just sit around and wait. I made my way to Professor Lupins office. I knocked quietly and he opened the door offering me a small smile. "Ms. Malfoy, I hear you didn't attend any of your afternoon classes today." I nodded slowly, "I have a question." He nodded, "why don't you come into my office." I sat in the chair in-front of his desk. "What you saw today with that Boggart, it's not true, just something I was scared of happening." He nodded, "of course." He set a cup of tea on the desk for me. "However bogarts don't portray your worst fear for no reason, your father, do you guys have a good relationship?" I looked down, "we get along fine." He let out a hmm. "Look I just came here to ask you to please not tell anyone about what you saw.... if my father found out he would...." Lupin sat up, "he would what?" I stopped talking, "he would be disappointed." Lupin nodded sipping his tea, "I think we both know, not much of what your saying is true." I narrowed my eyes confused, "what do you mean." He shrugged, "you know exactly what I mean Ms. Malfoy. But have faith I won't say anything you don't want me too." I nodded, "thank you Professor, but know I am being honest. Just a dumb fear it meant nothing." Lupin gave me a small smile, "okay Alyssa. I'll keep it to myself, however you have to promise to attend your classes." I stood up, "of course. Goodnight Professor."
