After another week of classes I met Harry down in the dining hall. "I talked to your boyfriend." I nodded, "what about?" He looked around to make sure no one was listening, "the first task, it's dragons." I sighed, "thank you for telling him, I'm sorry his friends are wearing those awful badges." Harry laughed, "I dont care about those." I smiled, "good, you shouldn't." I looked up at him, "do you know what you're going to do?" He nodded, "yes, you should talk to Cedric." I stood up saying goodbye going off to find Ced.

He was sitting up at the astronomy tower, "hey Lyss." I walked over to him leaning against him, "how are you doing?" He nodded, "I'm just thinking." I smiled, "you can fight off a dragon your amazing at magic." He set his head on top of mine, "you think?." I stood there with him for close to an hour talking over his plans. "Thank you," he finally whispered. I squeezed his hand, "you're going to do great." Cedric reached out his hand pulling me up, "are you coming?" I shook my head, "I have to write a letter first, I'll catch up." He leaned down kissing me softly before heading back over the bridge.

Dear Remus and disowned,
Sorry for taking so long to write, I'm sure you've heard about the tournament, Cedric and Harry are both entered, I'm nervous, but I think they'll be okay. I hope you are doing okay, I'm feeling much better, except for the fact the new defence against the dark arts professor has a strange obsession with dark magic, he performed the unforgivable curses right in front of us, it was horrible but there's not much I can do I suppose. I miss you both."

Servers days passed and I woke up early the day of the first task, I immediately had a shower and then dressed warm knowing the task was going to be outside. I began making my way to the dining hall stopping when I saw Draco. "Haven't seen you around in a while. Think boyfriends going to make it. See as much as I don't like him, he has better odds than potter." I rolled my eyes, "shut up Draco." He scoffed, "where'd you go anyway this summer?" I turned around, "did you not hear me, I said shut up."

I then made my way to the great hall. Cedric sat with his friends at his table, and no one seemed to be at griffindors table right now so I made my way over to him. "Hey Alyssa." I smiled at his friends, and he introduced me to a few. "How are you feeling?" He nodded, "I'm doing good." I raised my eyebrow, "care to join me?" He stood up, and we said goodbye to his friends making our way outside, a few students had made their way to the stands already, and Cedric sighed looking at the dragons. "You sure you're okay?" He nodded, "would you be okay?" I scoffed, "no Cedric I wouldn't." He laughed hugging me tightly. "You'll do great." When he finally let go I squeezed his hand and he bent down kissing me. "See you on the other side."

I found Fred George and Ron in the stands, "how's Cedric?" I shrugged, "nervous but who wouldn't be?"
The cannon sounded and the first name was called, "Cedric Diggory." I held my breath as they released his dragon, in a matter of only ten minutes he defeated the creature. "You can let go of my hand now." Ron whispered. I looked down to see how hard I was squeezing it. "Sorry Ron." Fred leaned forward, "better go give lover boy a kiss, he just fought a bloody dragon."

I made my way down the stands running up to Cedric who stood outside the tent. "You did wonderfully." I exclaimed jumping into his arms. "Really?" I nodded, "I wouldn't lie." He pulled me in kissing me softly at first and then it became harder and more passionate. "I love you Alyssa Malfoy." I laughed, "I love you more Cedric Diggory."

He wrapped his arm around me, and together we watched Harry step into the pit. "That dragon looks bloody brutal." Cedric nodded, "it does, are you sure you want to watch this Lyss." I nodded staring intently as Harry mounted his broom, he flew all around the castle, and I felt my heart beating out of my chest. "Dammit Harry." I closed my eyes, "it's over." Ced whispered, I saw Harry land safely holding the egg. I cheered along with the rest of Hogwarts. "Bloody brilliant."

Cedric squeezed my hand, kissing me one last time. "Go celebrate with your house." I smiled, "you too, don't party too hard Ced." He laughed, "I'll try."
