I spent most of the night staring at my ceiling, getting no sleep. When I got up the next morning I showered, and washed my entire body trying to wash away some of sadness and guilt.

When I stepped out I dried myself in front of the mirror, staring at myself. My hair was laying wet against my back, my eyes were dark with large bags underneath and my face was thinner. I heard a knock, "blimey Alyssa, you need four hours to shower." Fred teased. I hit the door back, "go downstairs."

Slowly I pulled a long sleeve dress on, and applied light makeup around my eyes. I stepped back approving myself, "you look awful, but you're going to do fine." I gripped the necklace Ced gave me during Christmas break a while ago. "I miss you."

When I walked downstairs everyone was eating, they were all dressed up and ready. "Sit dear, I'll grab you a plate." Molly smiled. I sat down next to Hermione, and Sirius. "You look very pretty Alyssa." I smiled, "so do you." Molly set a large plate in front of me, I grabbed my fork playing around with the eggs. "Doesn't count as eating till it's actually in your mouth." Sirius nodded. I rolled my eyes turning away from him as much as I could. I waited for everyone else to be done, and when they were we all stood by the fireplace. "Remus and Alyssa, go first." I grabbed his hand, and closed my eyes preparing to travel. He threw the powder yelling the name of some place I've never heard of.

When we stepped out there was a beautiful ceremony set up, many chairs faced the front where there was a coffin. "That's him." I whispered. Remus pulled me in, "are you sure you're ready for this?" I nodded. "This isn't about me." I lay my head against him for a moment. "This is going to be hard Alyssa, but you're right. This is for Cedric." He gently kissed my forehead and I pulled away.

Amos stood at the front he seemed to be greeting people but he looked terrible. I made my way up the aisle keeping my eyes on only one thing, the coffin. As I got closer I could make out the bridge of his nose, and then his entire face. My knees felt weak, and I set my hands on the edge of his coffin for support. "Hey handsome." I whispered. I stood there staring at him, praying for some sort of response. He lay still, his face lifeless. I felt an arm on my shoulder, "hello dear." I gave Amos a small smile, "hey." He placed his hand on his sons chest, "if I can't get through this, I need you to read my cards Alyssa, I beg of you."

We took our seats, and a man stood up front. I didn't listen to anything he was saying I was too focused on my dead boyfriends body. "And now we welcome to the ministry as a tribute to Cedric Diggory."

Many ministry workers, marched in. Arthur smiled at me, and a few others nodded in my direction. Amos squeezed my hand. I then watched as my father came in, walking alongside his colleagues. He connected with my eyes showing no emotion whatsoever, I felt tears threaten to pour down, and my eyes were burning red. I hated him, he was there when they killed him, he doesn't deserve to be here when I bury him.

"Ready?" Amos asked. I stood up accompanying him to the stage. When I looked out at the crowd I saw my mother and Draco, I then found my father still staring up at me. I looked down respectfully listening to Amos. "Thank you all for coming today. My son he was a good guy, and I'm sure he meant something to each and everyone of you. That boy was my life, my reason to live. And he got taken away so suddenly...." Amos stopped trying to contain his tears. "My boy he had plans, he was already talking to me about wedding rings." This part stung, how invested he was in our future. "He had the best girl..." Amos was now crying too hard to continue. "Alyssa." He stepped back nodding at his papers.

I gave him a small smile clearing my throat, "um from where he left off....  Cedric had the best girl, she was kind and devoted, and he was madly in love. They had plans, plans that made me proud to be Cedric's father. Their house was drawn out, how many kids, it was all planned. Earlier this year Cedric began writing to me, asking me how he would construct a home, and together we worked on it. He did all this while participating in school, the tournament, and being madly in love with this girl." My voice cracked, "I will never understand why my son had to get taken away from me, and I will never understand why Alyssa lost her future. But I can only hope and pray that he's in a better place. I love you Cedric."

Amos wrapped his arm around me still crying heavily. "Thank you." My eyes were watering and I forcefully glared at my father.
