A few weeks passed by leaving the final task set to start in two days. An owl dropped off a letter which I opened quickly.

Dear Alyssa (disowned),
Harry wrote to us about the task, we heard you were Cedric's person. It makes me think how committed you two are, reminds me a lot of James and Lily. I'm glad to hear everything is well, your room is set up and ready, I have big plans for this summer, I was thinking we could clean the upstairs make it into a dueling room or something like that for you and Harry, it would be fun. Anyway wish Cedric good luck on the final task. We both miss you loads. Love you.

I smiled folding the letter placing it on my nightstand, I put on a pair of jeans and the weasleys sweater. On my way out I bumped into Fred and George. "Where are you off to so quickly?" I smiled, "to see Cedric, is that ok with you?" George shrugged, "I dunno Fred is it?" Fred raised his eyebrow, "I suppose." George nodded, "home by 10." I laughed, "no closed doors." I rolled my eyes, "yes sirs."

Cedric sat at a table looking over his notes. "Hello handsome." I greeted sitting down beside him, "morning beautiful." I pulled out my books and began looking over the notes. I saw him studying hard which was something I had trouble with, I pulled out a piece of parchment and began sketching a house. I put it in-front of a lake with lots of yard space. I added a garden off to the side and a swing, beside the door I placed a sign that read The Diggorys. Cedric nudged me, "now what's that." I smiled, "our home." He held it up, "no it's not." I watched as he pulled out a fresh parchment, he drew a beautiful stone house, with a shed, and a play area. There was a small boat, a treehouse, a beautiful swing, and a garden filled with flowers. "That's amazing Cedric." He shrugged, "that's our home." I laughed, "where are we?" He nodded drawing on stick figures, "two children right?" I smiled, "you remembered?" He scoffed, "how I could forget our children." I traced my finger over the sketch, "I really want this." He placed a soft kiss on my forehead, "you're going to get it, and I will personally make sure it happens." I watched as he wrote a message at the top,

I Cedric Diggory declare this as my personal promise to Alyssa Malfoy, this is our life.

He then drew a small heart beside the note. "This has to happen." I whispered. He nodded, "I know." I shook my head, "no it really has to. Someone told me they saw us as a younger James and Lily. They were Harry's parents, absolutely in love with each other, died together. I don't want to be without you." He squeezed my hand, "you won't be." I gave him a small smile, "good." I slid the paper into my pocket, "shall we go for a walk?" He quickly closed his books agreeing.

I grabbed his hand leading him to the lake except this time we didn't sit down. "Hopefully the lake by our house will be much nicer." He laughed scoping the area, "it will be." I wrapped my arms around him, "so boy girl? Or boy boy? Girl girl?" He smirked, "what do you want?" I sighed, "boy boy, but I'd love either obviously." He rested his head on top of mine, "I want a girl." I smiled, "you are going to make an amazing father." He scoffed, "no you are going to be an amazing mother, Elise and Issac will adore you." I pulled out the sketch, labelling the two kids, "I love those names." He pulled me along, and we continued our walk. "I bet they'll both be good at quidditch." I agreed, "they would be, take after their father, an amazing seeker, and the Triwizard tournament champion." He laughed, "no they'll take after their extremely brave, strong and beautiful mother." I giggled, "are we crazy planning this all out." He shrugged, "of course, but there's no one else I'd rather do it with, so might as well figure it out now." I agreed, "might as well."

We walked up to the bridge leaning over it, "I wish I had some idea of what they were planning for this last task." I was thinking of a response when a voice interrupted us. "Hey." I spun around to see Draco. "Hello." I said. He extended his hand to Cedric, "you're doing good in the tournament." Cedric nodded, "thank you." Draco nodded, "see you around." I smiled, "see you." Cedric smirked, "he's coming around." I nodded, "he went through a lot this summer because of me, it's hard for me to hate him." Cedric placed his arm around me, "I know." I leaned onto him, "I feel like I've drifted away from all my friends." Cedric looked down at me, "I feel that too, maybe it's because we received a lifetime best friend instead." I smiled, "I hope so." He lifted my chin, and his lips slowly connected with mine. When I pulled back I whispered, "you should get some rest." He nodded, "I will, love you."
