I raised my hand trying to get Snape to stop. Tears were streaming softly down my face, "cant you just let me go." I whispered. He helped me up, getting me to the hospital wing. "Don't speak of this to anyone." He hissed. I didn't have much fight left, I shut my eyes, fading off.

"Ms. Malfoy," I turned my head slowly seeing Dumbledore standing over top of me. I then saw Harry standing behind him. "Get out Harry," I whispered hoarsely. Dumbledore sent him away taking a seat beside my bed. "I can't help them." He nodded leaning back, "I can see why you'd think that. I don't know what curse you'd been hit with, but..." I raised my hand, "no sir, I know exactly what curse was used. And if Snape hadn't have come I'd be dead. Which is why I can't help them both, they hate each other so much they'd kill each other." Dumbledore placed his arm on my bedside, "that's unacceptable. I've always admired your strength don't let me down now." I sighed closing my eyes, "I should rest." He chuckled, "you should, you have your work cut out for you."

Later in the day madam Pomfrey released me from the wing, I made my way back to my dorm bumping into Harry. "Alyssa." I sighed, "listen Harry I don't care who that curse was meant for but don't you dare ever use that in front of me again. Understood?" He nodded, "I'm sorry." I wrapped my arm around him, "you better be. I don't know what Draco's plan is. But he's scared, and he clearly didn't ask for this. Kaite didn't deserve to be hexed, but did we deserve anything that's happened to us? He needs me, and so do you. Dumbledore won't stop reminding me of that."

Harry gave me a small smile, "Dumbledore really?" I hit him, "he thinks I need guidance, he's not wrong, but it's exhausting. He expects the impossible." Harry nodded, "anytime I run into him he asks how you're doing. I think he's worried about you as well." I scoffed, "he's a smart man, using us like that. Making me think I need to take care of you, and you you need to take care of me." Harry laughed, "smart man. Listen, I got a memory from Slughorn. Something Dumbledores been pushing me to do." I nodded, "you don't have to tell me." He shrugged, "I want you to know. In fact I think you should come with me."

I followed Harry straight to Dumbledores office. "Good to see you again." He greeted me. I smiled, and Harry led me to the desk. "She needs to know." Dumbledore agreed, "I think so too." I sat back waiting for one of them to explain, "when Tom was a student here, Slughorn was a professor. Tom asked him about horcruxes." I shook my head, "Voldemort used horcruxes." Dumbledore nodded, "smart girl. I'm afraid I must once again ask too much of Harry." I looked at Harry, "you have to destroy them." Dumbledore nodded again, "I'm taking him with me yes, and I need you to wait in the astronomy tower for when we get back."

Professor McGonagall walked in, "I'm sorry to interrupt." She then looked down at me, "I'm glad to see you're alright dear." I smiled looking down. "Do you understand what I'm asking of you Alyssa?" I nodded. "I know I'm asking too much of you, I have since the day you got here, I knew that hat was going to put you in Gryffindor, and that's exactly what it should've done. You two need each other. And Draco needs you." I stood up, letting him place a hand on my shoulder, "stay strong. You always do."

McGonagall squeezed my shoulder as we made our way out of the office, and I tried to prepare myself for what could possibly happen for him to be talking like that. The night they were leaving I met them up at the astronomy tower. "I won't leave until you're back. I promise." I whispered. Dumbledore gave me a warm smile, "I know you wont dear. No matter what you see tonight. I want you to remember your brother isn't like this. Help him remember who he is." I shook my head, "tell me what is going on sir," he shook his head holding out his arm. The moment Harry grabbed it I watched the two of them apparate leaving me standing alone in the tower.
