Chapter 27

Cedric shook me awake and I realized I had slept through our movie. "Hey," he whispered. I groaned sitting up, "I'm sorry I can't believe I fell asleep." He laughed hugging me. "Don't be sorry." I yawned again, "wow I didn't realize how tired I was." He looked at the photo of what looked like Sirius's brother. "My dad got tickets to the World Cup, do you think you'd want to go to that. I'm sure he could get another?" I smiled, "I don't want him to go to any trouble." Cedric rolled his eyes, "it's nothing really." I nodded, "I'll talk to Remus about it and let you know?" Cedric kissed my forehead, "okay, my dad should be here any minute." I sighed standing up hearing voices in the kitchen. "How do I look?" I asked. He leaned in kissing me softly, "like the most beautiful girl in the world." I hit him softly following behind into the other room.

"Ah, and you must be Alyssa, I'm Amos." A short jolly looking man looked at me pulling me in to a big hug. "It's nice to meet you." I smiled. He laughed, "Cedric has been talking non stop about you, the pleasure is all mine." I nodded, smirking at Cedric. "I'm sure he's informed you about the World Cup, let us know soon." I bit my lip, "I will. Thank you for asking me." He gave me another quick hug, "well we're off, hope I'll see you again before term starts." I waved goodbye to Amos, and hugged Cedric, he kissed me quickly, "see you soon." I squeezed his hand, "love you."

When they had left Remus went to grab Sirius and I sat down on the couch. "Hello." I said to Sirius as he walked into the room. He nodded, "how was that boy." I smiled, "he was great." Sirius sat down beside me, "you seem happier." I sighed, "didn't realize how much I missed him." Sirius laughed, "I remember what it felt like to be in love at your age." Remus scoffed entering the room, "yes you were very committed." I laughed, and Sirius shook his head. "Well if Cedric does anything to hurt you I will..." Remus coughed, "enough Sirius she's old enough to have a boyfriend." He rolled his eyes sitting back.

"Cedric asked if I wanted to go to the World Cup with him." This made Sirius bounce back up, "absolutely not. Staying in a tent alone with a boy that's where I draw the line." I sighed, "his dad would be there." He shook his head, "no and that is my final answer, people your age they drink and do stupid things when they're given that freedom." Remus smirked, "I think Alyssa's had experience with drinking." I thought back to when Fred and George gave me their fire whiskey. "Remus." I said nervously looking at Sirius. Sirius crossed his arms, "exactly why you're not going." I lay down miserably, "you're making me miss a once in a lifetime opportunity." He nodded, "I bet I am." He then stood up leaving the room.

"Remus, how often do people get the chance to see the World Cup?" He sighed, "not often Alyssa." I nodded, "exactly." Remus got up, "come have some dinner. I'll try to talk to him." Sirius joined us at supper, "I have some news for you." I sighed thinking I was getting another lecture. "Weasleys are going with Diggorys to the cup, you can go with Weasleys and sleep in Weasleys tent." I smiled, "really?" He nodded, "no need to jump out of your seat or anything." I got up hugging him, "thank you!" He laughed, "your welcome." Remus nodded, "you'll need to pack tomorrow, get all of your Hogwarts belongings together." I shrugged, "I think it's all at home still." Sirius shook his head, "no your mother dropped it off." I continued eating, "when will I leave?" Remus looked over to the calendar, "in five days." I sighed, "I'm going to miss it here." Sirius smiled, "I'm going to miss having you here." Remus nodded, "well you'll be coming home for Christmas won't you?" I looked between the two of them, "I can?" Sirius laughed, "this is your home too Alyssa. For all the disowned blacks." Here I felt so loved and cared for, I suppose this is what a home would feel like. "Don't think I'll be letting you spend another Christmas alone." Sirius agreed, "that's just depressing." I rolled my eyes, "it was quite peaceful." Remus scoffed, "you were just stubborn you didn't let anyone help you." I raised my eyebrow, "if that's true how am I here?" Sirius smiled, "good point." Remus grabbed our plates, "you know why."
